How are you getting your protien with 300 or 600 calories? Are you eating anything or only drinking protien shakes?

Are you having sleeve or other? Take dry mouth spray, you will be glad you did. Walk, walk, walk as much as possible. I found this easy but that was me. Drink as much water as possible. It will take a while for your bladder to wake up. Good luck...you will do great!

Get some dry mouth spray! Go right now and get it! You will be so glad you have this. Please do not go to the hospital without it. CVS sell Biotene and their own brand. When you wake up start walking. I was able to burp most of my gas out while at the hospital. Drink as much water as possible , the more you drink the easier it will be to pee. It takes while for your bldder to wake up. Take the spray!!! T Good luck

I've had a very uneventful post surgery. I actually wondered for a while if I had even had the revision LOL. The hospital stay was not much fun. I woke up with an extremely dry mouth. Get some Dry Mouth Spray to take to the hospital with you. I have had no reflux, acid, Gerd, etc.. I wish I had done this a long long time ago. Follow me or ask me anything anytime. I hope yours goes as well as mine. Oh by the way. I had this surgery in Birmingham. I live in Gulf Shores, AL We drove up, spent the night Monday night. I was in the hospital on Tuesday night , drove home Wednesday and I went back to work on Thursday. I work from home but still no down time. Best thing is no hunger! It is really amazing!

I just had this surgery on 2/23. I absolutely hated the band and should have done this years ago. I could not get any salava to go down with minimum restriction. I finally just gave up. I had the sleeve approved and could not be happier about it. The surgeon that put the band in did the revision. I have had no pain and no hunger since leaving the hospital. I wish I had done this 10 years ago. Good luck to you. You have made a good decision.

I am only 2 weeks post op but I love my shakes! Body Fortress 40G 200 Cal. I put a scoop of collgen protein in one and scoop of whey protein in the 2nd one, Add crushed ice and blend. Taste like a milk shake to me. Delish!

Seems a bit low. Not much there if you are having protein shakes.

I am getting over 100 grams of protein in with the 2 shakes I am getting in each day. Closer to 120 grams. I guess since the doc wants 55-60 minimum this would be ok? What say ye?

I had surgery on Tuesday 2/23 and went back to work on Thursday 2/25. I also had a lapband that I've had for 15 years taken out in the same surgery. I have experienced zero pain since I left the hospital.

I am 63 so yes...I believe a qualify as an adult more so than many. From what I have read The Mayo Clinic says not to get the Vaccine immeaditely before surgery, so I should be good on that front. Still looking for answers to the question as to any discussion others may have had with their doctors. Thanks

I can get the vacccine on Tuesday which will be 14 days since surgery my surgery. I believe I heard to wait 20 days. I am not waiting. I want the Pfizer shot, which this is, If I wait much longer it will be J&J. I am going!

THANKS! That is what I wanted to hear. My wife asked me to quit going to the gym several months ago. She said you re just getting bigger, which I was. I am glad I have some dded muscle in case of loss this first few weeks. Are you taking any supplements for the gym?
