u know i look back on what u wrote and i am how u WERE. i have depression. i dont feel attractive which causes problems in my marriage and with other aspects of the marriage if you know what i mean. i have 3 kids and i have been heavy for a while, i am only 4"10 and i weight like 235 so i am really wanting to get this weight off. my mom is very heavy and has been her whole life and i have seen her struggle with it and i am not about to do the same. i am 30 and it is time to make a change. just gotta figure out how i am gonna pay for the procedure.

well i have been looking into the sleeve and i am really educating myself on that one also. that is not a bad procedure and i am thinking that i am pulling more for that one than any of the procedures.

well i have more news..i called cigna and they told me that all wls are excluded unless medically necessary. i think that with me having a BMI of 48-49 that i am hoping will be enough to qualify me for the rny or lapband. i also made my 1st step and made an appt for 12/4 for my consultation.

wow! congrats! no i don't have a date yet! i was looking into the lapband and then i started lookin into another procedure called the vertical sleeve gasterectomy; tried to get financed and failed every option possible because i dont have any credit and the credit that i do have is not the best. i gave up.. the procedure that i wanted is non reversible and that is another reason that i started lookin back into the band because it is reversible....i wish u the best luck! keep in touch!

wow! look at u! congrats! i am so happy for u! glad that u are getting the procedure done...yes i do think that i am going to have the sleeve done WHENEVER i do get it all together...no luck with finanacing. i was gettin very frustrated and just gave it a rest...let me know how things go !

WOW!!! Yay!! I am sooo happy for u!!! I have the Cigna Open Access plan..Is that what u have?? I called them today and they tld me that my policy didnt show whether or not WLS was approved or not and that I wld have to get my Dr to call in and get a pre-determinatiom of medical necessities and once the Dr gets that back to them then they can go from there...I don't even know where to begin..Not sure what Dr. that I want to go to..I want a good one and one that is going to take time and not rush when it comes to me and all my questions! Can you please take the time to tell me what the 6 mnth period is about and what if u loose weight in that time frame? Does that mean u cant have the surgery then?? SOOOO happy for u!!!

wow....i am soo happy for u and ur husband..that is great news. the vertical sleeve gasterectomy (VSG) is where they remove over 50% of the stomach itself. alot of people call it the "sleeve". when they remove the stomach, they also remove the hunger harmone as well. alot of people that i know have had excellent results with it and it is really what i have been looking into. the only thing that i dont like is that it is not reversible, once ur tummy is gone it is gone....kinda scary! so, how are the fills?? do they hurt?
