    Vitamins

Does anybody know what is the fastest way to get my body and mind back after yes I know, horrible neglect on my vitamins. I just felt so good, sold my house, moved, relocated and 5 months later I realize this week it got me like a ton of bricks. I had been feeling some symptoms but been so busy that just disregarded the small amount of brain fog, some aches and pains and slight headaches. This week it went from 0-9. Anyone else has had this issue and what’s the fastest way to recover? I am eating super well 24/7 now and foods dense in lots of nutrients but it’s been 4 days and still have some plugged heating, tired, migraine has somewhat subsided and brain fog as well has subsided. Suggestions please!
  2. Yes you can! Enjoy the journey and the ride. How? Follow all instructions and you will.
  3. Definitely you got a lot of what you’ll need. Make sure you take your vitamins when they tell you to do so and drink that water as they instruct. Lastly what really helped me big time was I made bone broth and when I was busy I would then buy the organic low sodium kind. It’s great for nutrition, nutrition and more nutrition. Later I used it to purée my veggies, chicken, Turkey and when I could eat lentils I used it as well. I made delicious and nutritious puréed soups and I really attributed that to not once ever getting sick or feeling bad at all. Wish you the best but you look like your so ready and got this.
  4. Hi I just got on to catch up. thank you and your prayers have worked because I did super wellto this day I am like in awe with how well I am doing and feeling. How are you doing sweetie?
  5. I did because I am a firm believer that when you are a patient in the hospital you need to ask questions and also never suffer unnecessary pain or discomfort if you don't have to. After surgery I did feel a lot of discomfort from gas that I could not release and nausea. I was given some over the counter stuff. I immediately got up and started walking to release gas but nothing but a small burp here and there. I kept walking every hour and nothing again. So, I asked the nurse to please call the doctor and see if there was anyway he could send me something else to help with the discomfort and nausea. I did have to have a debate with the nurse about it because she kept insisting that is what the doctor recommends and he gives all patients the same. I had to tell her nicely that I understood all that but that was not what I was asking her. I already knew what he had sent me and it wasn't working to well and if that is what he gives all patients then fine but I still want her to ask in case he can give me something stronger. You have to really be careful in the hospital because they are not feeling the discomfort and some don't want to go the extra mile. Guess what? TARA! Omg, whatever they gave me stopped not only the nausea asap but also relieved so much pressure. I was home free 2 and a half hours after surgery. I was in heaven! So, don't settle if you don't have to do so.
  6. I told everybody and I did not care what they said or thought. In fact, I already had a response for everything they would throw at me because I saw a lot of videos and read about 4 biographies of what certain people go through before, during and after the surgery. I didn't want to start my new journey still with any more fears or having to hide anything anymore. I already hid behind the sadness of being so overweight. I didn't go out much or attend many functions because I just kept hiding. I didn't want to lie to anyone anymore and much less myself. I wanted to be free of all of that. If anyone tried to encourage me to not do it and try another diet, I said I already had done so. Or they would say "Oh I hear its dangerous wow that's drastic". I explained what was more dangerous is that this year my blood pressure was high for the first time and I am pre-diabetic too. What they truly got was when I said it is better to do the surgery vs trying to lose it one more time and in the process I have heart attack or become diabetic. Then everyone would say " yeah that is true, good point." There was one other heavy lady that works with me that has been struggling like me for years and she is still trying and good for her but she sure as heck didn't like that I was doing the surgery. I understand she is willing to struggle still and she has no medical issues but I did. I think also she felt I was cheating vs she is really at it. Some people also may envy that and/or envy that you are bolder to do this surgery and they are not. The thing is to not let anyone discourage you to ever have to live other peoples expectations or hiding. Freedom and being authentic is great!
  7. I am 55 yoa and I had been without a period for about a year and a half and God was I happy to be done with it. Three weeks out of Gastric Sleeve I started first spotting and now it seems I am having a light period but nothing hurts and I feel fine. I also did a spin class and did pace myself but I did like 55 minutes. IDK if that had anything to do with it either. Anyhow, he said this has occurred with women and to still go and make an appointment with my gynie and make sure all is fine. I won't lie I am still worried something is wrong due to the surgery. Yikes a bit concerned.
  8. Whoohoo, yeah and I got my surgery right after you 6/23. I am starting the shakes tomorrow. Excited for you!
  9. Don't dismay because my surgery has just been confirmed for the month of June and it was only delayed for a month. Best wishes to all!
