I just have been "fired" as a patient, after questioning why after 1200, and 2 years later, I have had no weight loss, and after going to get a barium swallow. Dr. Abbas Shariat in Jacksonville, fl, is a scam artist!!!!!! He has actually put only 0.5 ml in my band!!!!! and I was wondering why I could eat a whole cow, LOL. He will charge 800 for initial visit, and 400 after that!!!!!!! And he will not use flouro, his office staff are rude, and liars!!!! I asked for my medical record and was told they don't do that!!!!!!! Please do not use this doctor, I am so upset, I am a nurse myself, and I knew that there was no restriction, i was literally starving myself, the depression over feeling , wow after all this money, time, and still no weight loss, I wasn't gaining, due to the fact I had learned to literally starve myself, and Dr Shariat kept telling me I wasn't doing it right, all I was eating was chicken, tuna, etc., and I was starving all the time!!!!! Well any hints on a respectable doctor, here in NE Fl, I am going to go back to Dr Kuri in Mexico, if I have too.

please do not go there, I have been scammed by Dr. Shariat for over 1200 dollars so far, finally I went to get a barium swallow, and the radiologist told me, that my band was fine, the dr wasn't filling me, thinking I would keep going in for a fill, I am now looking for a new doctor, after calling and complaining to Dr. shariat's office manager, I recieved a registered letter cancelling me as a patient!!! I cried and cried, because I am a student who saved up for over 2 months for my fills, and recieved nothjing at all!!!!!! but what do you do???? who do you call, how do you prove that you have been scammed????????
