  1. Hi - My bandiversary isn't until the end of the month but It's still in May. I have a love/hate relationship with my band but mostly love it. Most days it does it's job very well (as long as I'm working with it). I've lost 30 lbs. and I'm feeling great. People are really starting to notice. My biggest problem is that my winter clothes are getting too big but I don't want to buy new stuff because I'm still losing. I know that's a good problem but it's still a problem. Congrats to all of our May bandsters!!!! I hope you all are doing well.
  2. Hi - I'm going through something kind of like you are talking about. Friday night I was fine and I was shocked that I ate pizza and had no problems. Last night I had steak for dinner and chewed very well and was sick after the first 3 bites. I threw up all night but it didn't seem like it was out. I was even throwing up water. Then it seemed to ease up and this morning I had coffee and now cottage cheese. Maybe I need to stick to soft foods for a few days because I'm feeling sore.
  3. I'm sorry for posting again but my ticker is wrong because it's old and I'm trying to fix it.
  4. ricky t - I've been having trouble with food getting stuck too. I think we have to remember to take really small bites, chew, chew, chew and wait in between bites. It's so hard to re-learn everything we know about eating but it will be worth it.
  5. Irish73 - I only suffered for the first few days with taking crushed meds with liquids. Dr. ok'd taking opened or crushed meds with applesauce after 1st week. I also take extended release meds and everything was fine. I'm now 2 mos out and take capsules with no trouble and large pills I cut in half. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
  6. loracrose - I also take Cymbalta and at about 1 week post op the Dr. said it was ok to open capsules and put into applesauce. I also did this with my Nexium. My other meds I crushed and put into the applesauce. I would keep in small pile and take each pill in one spoonful so it didn't taste so bad. By the time the applesauce was gone all pills were taken.
