Taking your Cymbalta....Help

Recommended Posts

I am one week post-op and still having problems taking meds....most I crush in Water but I take cymbalta and there is no other form says the pharmacist than the time release capsules.I empty the little beads on a spoon then put them on the back of my tongue and wash them down. I dread doing this every night and I keep wondering if this is even safe for me to take them that way. The pharmacist hemmed & hahed about how if I should be doing this that way but the doc said so....!!! Anyone else have probs with taking cymbalta? Help?

I also take Cymbalta and at about 1 week post op the Dr. said it was ok to open capsules and put into applesauce. I also did this with my Nexium. My other meds I crushed and put into the applesauce. I would keep in small pile and take each pill in one spoonful so it didn't taste so bad. By the time the applesauce was gone all pills were taken.

I am also on Cymbalta and I was wondering how I'd be able to swallow this when I get more restriction. I'm doing fine with one pill at a time right now, any type of pill. I know when I get a fill or a few fills thats going to change.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
