  1. GIVE UP COFFEE!?!?!?!?! Oh man... you are right. My one last vice, I love my coffee! ......just checked, it is listed as something I am allowed to drink in my paperwork. WHEW!! **relieved jittering over a cup o joe**
  2. You weigh 185...how are you supposed to lose so much so quickly? I am thinking he is confusing you with someone else who had a gastric?
  3. Hang in there buddy...NEVER give up! We all slip, don't beat yourself up over it. I think getting the refill will make a big change for you.
  4. VERY Funny!! With surgery coming up for me soon I'll remember to pee at the hospital.

  6. Get lots of sympathy from the family, milk it for all it's worth!! heh heh Congrats!!!
  7. I miss Texas very much. Back when I was much much younger I worked for Terrell's Dry Cleaning...now he is mayor...WEIRD. I think I am going to have my pic taken every 10 lbs lost and make a cool graphic of me shrinking. :rolleyes2::D
  8. I am originally from Allen, but now live in PA. I miss Texas very much!! Thank you all for the warm welcome. I can't wait to get started already, sure was a long process to get this far!
  9. Hi all! I am a self pay, so my only dietary requirement is to eat light the day before surgery. My date is the 20th, I can't wait!
  10. Hi everyone!! I just got my surgery date today and it is all set for November 20th!:D
  11. Never give up!! Keep going! Also, do you think you might be due for an adjustment?
  12. Hello all, just checking back in to let you know how my visit with Dr. DiMarco was. After waiting over 2 hours PAST my scheduled time my husband and I finally got to meet and talk with him. He is incredibly nice and very informative! We discussed my health and even a bit about the full gastric bypass and he felt that the lapband is the best option for me. I am pretty tall and he is afraid that gastric bypass would make me too thin (imagine!). My main goal is to be healthy and to get off of all the meds. My next steps are to see the nutritionist and get pre-surgical tests done...then I get scheduled for surgery! Tas, how did your visit go? :crying:
  13. Finally, I get to see Dr. DiMarco on Tuesday Sept 2!
  14. What is the difference in PBing and throwing up?
  15. I was told by my doctor that this is an aid for weightloss. This is not like gastric bypass, you will have to work on it. Also, PLEASE do not belittle your current weightloss...It is WONDERFUL!! All weightloss is positive, even the little steps. There are going to be great weigh ins and then those that are a little on the "meh" side. Keep going~and be patient~ :frown: I am a lifetime Weight Watcher, even have appeared as a Success Story in their magazine. I have gained back 50 lbs since the magazine article and have since decided that I need help. Weight Watchers is a wonderful program, and I hope to use all that I have learned (5 years in program) to make the most of my band...once I get the darn thing that is.
  16. My only concern is that Alli can also absorb nutrients, so with the reduced food intake you want to keep all the nutrients you can. I would advise you to ask the doctor about it first. You don't want to lose any hair or have dry skin.
  17. Hooray for the honesty! I know you will do great and feel so much better. Keep us posted on your progress!
  18. Well, I did have the initial consultation with Dr. Wieger and he confirmed I am definitely eligible for the surgery. But the surgeon I chose, Dr. DiMarco, is very busy and I do not see him until September. I am going to DisneyWorld for the first time in September so the timing is ok with me, I just will be at my heaviest in all of my pics which is depressing. I was 'kinda sorta hoping' I would be able to get through the process this month in order to lose those initial pounds before the trip, but oh well. I guess the wait is for the best as I would not want to have complications leading up to the Disney trip..especially when airfare is non-refundable!
  19. I saw Dr. Wieger today, he was extremely nice. This was my consult to determine if I qualified or not and I do. I have the surgical consult set up with Dr. DiMarco, but it is not until September...he is booked! Also, I am self-pay and they charged me 200 for today's visit...OUCH!
  20. Hi all! I go for my surgeon consult tomorrow and am very excited  I have been on WW for several years, in fact I was a Success Story in the Magazine (June 2006). My highest weight was 315 and I had lost down to 185...I have since put 60+ back on. WW is a wonderful program and thousands of people have found permanent success. Myself, however, need help to keep the pounds off and am going to have lapband surgery. My health is in jeopardy and I can't keep doing this to myself. I intend to continue with WW after banding, I like being a cheerleader for others. :smile2:
  21. LOL!! My sister had gastric bypass and calls her boobs "chesticles"
  22. I hope someone who has had the surgery can answer you Did you have any fills yet? Maybe you are due for another?
  23. I meet with Dr. Wieger next week. Not sure which surgeon I will get. The office staff seem nice but sometimes distracted with their own conversations.
  24. Hi all, I live in Enola (just West of Harrisburg, PA). I have started the process with Dr. DiMarco but haven't yet met him. I got my blood work done this morning and will be seeing my 'regular' Dr. next Tuesday. I am a self-pay so I am hopeful that my wait will be much shorter. Hopefully I can get banded in August, but we'll see.
  25. You have all been so helpful, thank you so much!!
