  1. Hi everyone! I was banded Nov 08. I had great success until last summer when it was discovered that I had a dialated esophagus. I had a complete unfill and gained 25 lbs. I have been getting refilled over the last year and have lost 10 lbs of the weight gain. I am doing great, but my doctor is suggesting that I get the band removed and get a gastric sleeve. My guess is that he knows something I don't? I still love my band and will keep pushing forward with it.
  2. A gold brick....can I sell it?
  3. I think you should give it a few days unless you are unable to keep liquids down. Sometimes I have a hard time with milk going down easy...especially at TOM.
  4. I am thrilled with the surgery and the results. Haven't looked back once.

The incredible shrinking woman....:), a weight loss surgery photo album by AngieAngel on BariatricPal. 4 photos in Member Photo Gallery.
  6. I am so close to "ONEderland" it isn't funny!!
  7. I would say to them, "It doesn't look like you have any tact...."
  8. Hi everyone, just stopping by to check in. I am doing well, and like ddgalarza said, I have tight days and loose days with the band. Some days I feel like I might need to get a fill and then others I can't eat at all. Weird! My weight loss has definitely slowed down (according to the scale), but people still say that I 'look' like I am losing weight, very strange how the scale works. My daughter gets married next month and I am throwing her a bridal shower next week. I will be ok around all of the cake because last time I had cake I ate two bites and then PB'ed. I am in a 14/16 now so that RULES! :cursing:
  9. You could also be swollen from all the throwing up.
  10. :frown::party::welldone2::party::thumbup::party::clap::party::ack2::party::smile2::party:
  11. Checking in with everyone...keep going!
  12. Wonderful surgeon! Very patient and knowledgeable. Now if we could just get him to be on time..... He is worth the wait!
  13. The first day was yucky and the following day was less so but I mostly slept. By day 3 I was feeling much better. I am 6 months out though and still feel tired.
  14. I have lost so much from my arms, boobs, shoulders and legs that my belly looks humongous. I get asked if I am pregnant now, which totally sucks after losing almost 50 freekin pounds!
  15. I am flying to San Antonio on Sunday, as long as I can get a margarita in I'll be fine!!
  16. I've stalled. But, I am not exercising either...I am always too tired. It takes everything I have to get through work each day and by the time I get home I am on the couch. Anyone else feeling this way?
  17. Something about this does not sound right...Are you working with your HR dept?
  18. My husband did the same thing to me. I thought I was going to die. Turns out that it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Stay on the Xanax and breathe. As time passes it will get easier, I promise. I know you are going through the stage of trying to make it work for the kids' sake. BUT if he truly loved you he NEVER would have done it. A year and a half sure is a long term 'relationship' he had with someone, I would let him go.
  19. Come on Novembers...keep kicking butt!
  20. I have started losing some, but I have very long hair and have always shedded a bit.
  21. I once had an attack so bad that I handed my newborn daughter to a perfect stranger because I thought I was having a heart attack and they called an ambulance for me.
  22. I tried it when I was very young, but then I grew up. The 'medicinal' effects benefit those who are too ill to eat, not those of us who are fooling ourselves that it is healthy to smoke weed. Again, it is illegal. Why put your jobs and health in jeopardy?
  23. Sugar melts very quickly and goes right through the band. I still get stuck on occasion on 'regular food' and today was one of them. It was on refried beans with melted cheese, go figure!
  24. I've seen people get chastised on this board more for eating a cheeseburger! It is never ok to do drugs, banded or not, knock it off.
