  1. Hi Elizabeth My name is Carol and I also had my surgery on May 20th by Dr. Nicholas Bertha at St. Clare's Hosp in Dover, NJ. I am still having quite a bit of incisional pain, still not able to straighten out enough to lie flat in bed, have to sleep in the recliner. I'm supposed to return to work tomorrow, that should be fun. Good luck to you and to us all.

I had my surgery on 5/20/08, I have not had any problems with nausea or vomitting but it seems as if I can eat too much. When I drink my protein shake, I have to force myself to slow down, I can finish the whole thing in 10 mins and not feel full. Also, I still have to sleep in the recliner-I tried to sleep in bed but coildn't move once I got in and forget about getting out. I have a pain between the port incision and the middle one. When I move the wrong way it feels like a ripping, burning pain. Has anyone else had anything similar? Thanks for your input.
