Post-op pain

I had my surgery on 5/20/08, I have not had any problems with nausea or vomitting but it seems as if I can eat too much. When I drink my protein shake, I have to force myself to slow down, I can finish the whole thing in 10 mins and not feel full. Also, I still have to sleep in the recliner-I tried to sleep in bed but coildn't move once I got in and forget about getting out. I have a pain between the port incision and the middle one. When I move the wrong way it feels like a ripping, burning pain. Has anyone else had anything similar?

Thanks for your input.

LAP-BAND Patients

OH My Gosh, Finally someone I can relate to. I had my surgery on May 14th 2008. I have the same pain and I can also eat more than I think I should be able to. I called the Dr. about the pain and was told that I strained the muscle where the port is sewn. It felt better after a few days of rest but I hurt it again yesterday. I ate an entire cheeseburger this weekend ( no bun) but the whole thing with no problem. I hate the fact that I was able to do so. My Dr. does not know this but I did mention my hunger and I was told I can't get an adjustment until 6 weeks post op. I guess until then I will have to somehow find some will power. Let me know how your doing. Try to relax a bit so you heal.
