Siggi's yogurt, especially the vanilla and cinnamon and pumpkin spice. 15 grams of protein! and it satisfies my desire for "a little something sweet."
Kibo's chips (I get mine on Amazon). 7 grams of protein; I bring them for lunch frequently to eat with tuna salad or chicken salad instead of any bread. I usually eat 1/2 the bag at lunch, and then save half for a mid day pick me up, with a piece of fruit.

@Luv2cruz Unless i read over it, No one has asked a few very important questions. What is your height? What was your beginning weight? Are you logging your food? Are you exercising? What does your diet look like on a daily bases? The reason, if you have less to lose, you will tend to lose a little slower. A person who had 300lbs to lose will lose it faster that say a person that has 100lbs to lose. My story is a little different than some.... but anywho....
After being here for over 10 years i have seen and read many different stories. I have also experienced it with some very close friends. I've had friends like myself who had the band (lost 2017 gained 30lbs). Lost there band and have gained it back or revised to a different WLS. Some with success and some without. I have a few that had only the sleeve and either never lost or gained it all back. I've even had a few that had GB and either gained some or all of the weight back. I do have a few friends that had the band and have kept their weight off for over 10 years. The point is.... ALL WLS have their goods and bads. Ups and downs. It's how you as a person handles YOUR journey.
(ok just read your last post, so i'm taking out this part)
I would start at the begging, look within yourself. Maybe seek a counselor (it's helping me). Otherwise, i would start tracking your food (if you aren't already). Get yourself a good exercise program (even if it's just walking more and faster). I wish i had journaled....
I write myself inspiring quotes on my bathroom mirror. I know you didn't want to hear it, but its true and hard not to do... But, try to not compare yourself to others. I compared myself to others all the time, then someone years ago told me that..... So now i have on my mirror..... Envy is the thief of happiness.
I wish you only good thoughts on your journey.

I had my 6 month surgery mark on Sunday, and my tele-doc visit with the PA and the Nutritionist yesterday. Everything is on track, which is good to hear; my blood work is all good as far as Vitamins, macronutrients, Protein, etc. Because I use Myfitnesspal to track food, the nutritionist was able to review my diet with quite a bit of detail, and thinks my carbs are a bit low; sometimes my carbs are as low as 20-25 (but sometimes they are 85!); she suggested I monitor to see if I am tired on the days my carbs are below 40, and adjust.
I can't believe it has only been 6 months...February seems a lifetime ago, given all the ways our world has changed since then.
Thought I'd share a before and after (during? Because I hope I'm not "done"): Before is from a wedding in 2019; After is from a hike/walk on Sunday.

I wish I knew of a resource that I could point you towards. Hopefully some of the links that others provided will yield some assistance!
I am very sorry that you went through so much of what you did. While you can say that the surgery failed for you, the truth of the matter is that your surgeon failed you in a horrible egregious manner. To refuse to provide you with any follow-up is beyond the pale and boggles my mind. I would suggest possibly seeking out a hospital based weight management program in your area that is NOT affiliated with your prior surgeon. They should be able to provide you with the guidance that your previous surgeon apparently couldn't be bothered to provide.
I'm also sorry that you ran afoul of this forum's resident *******. No one deserves having to listen to him.

It can be so frustrating when it is not dropping off as fast as either you believe it should, or compared to other people's experience. I am older (61), have crappy knees and a long time thyroid condition, so my expectations going in were tempered by those realities. I'm 6 months out and have lost about 50 pounds since the surgery, 60 including the pre-op.
I found when I hit about 40 pounds down people really started to notice, and that gave me quite a little lift! (Even though I told myself and everyone else "I'm doing this for my health", it is still nice to hear, lol).
I just went through a 3 week stall, I only lost 1.5 pounds in the entire month of July! However, I was getting smaller. I have never been big on tape measures, but I noticed my new clothes were getting looser! I've now lost almost 5 pounds in a week, so there you have it. Water, water, water, walking and some weight training is what I tried to do to keep sane during the stall.
Everyone is going to lose at their own rate. If you are like me, the sane part of you knows that with your calorie and activity level you are going to lose weight, but it almost seems impossible!
I have a friend who started weight watchers in January, and I had the surgery in February. She lost more weight than I did until March. Slowly her weight loss slowed to a stop, and mine has kept going. She has put back on over 5 pounds. I'm not judging, not at all, I have been on that yo-yo ride for years. I'm just pointing out that we all know you can lose weight without this surgery, and most of us have many times over. I am hoping that the physical restriction, coupled with the mental work I am doing now, will make me successful 2 years and 10 years and 20 years from now, and unfortunately due to whatever makes me tick that did not happen with traditional diets.
Sorry for the wordy post, good luck, hang in there, and I'm rooting for you!

Agree w/ @JakeH, and that its different when you are in weight loss mode vs. Maintenance.
I started exercising for reals at 3 months post op and kept my calories under 600 no matter if it was an exercise day or not (at 5-6 months post op I was staying under 800). Stayed ultra-low carbs (>25g NET carbs).
Now, as I’m not actively trying to lose weight, I try to stay within 1800-2000 calories (but I also do some moderate to heavy exercise almost every day). My bad though, as I will admit the quality of these calories may not always be of the best kind (i.e., sugar). I try to stay under 100g NET carbs, but I don’t always succeed (i.e., sugar!)
Further, I prefer to do my running/strength training in the morning, in a fasted state. It may just be me, but I feel more energetic and nimble when my stomach is empty. food makes me feel lazy and sluggish for some reason. Also, like @ChubRub, I do not feel particularly hungry after exercising, but I will eventually in a couple hours or so, and I’ll eat if I’m hungry.
Long story short, at 6 weeks out, maybe just eat if u are hungry, while sticking to your prescribed calorie range (and don’t forget to get your Protein and Water in!)
    Good Luck!
P.S. I am NOT a medical professional and am providing anecdotal comments based on my own experiences. It’s advisable to check with your doc when starting a new workout and nutritional regimen ❤️

I am almost at 6 months out and down 80lbs. At 10 weeks out, I was down 33 lbs. It will continue to drop, you just have to be patient. I know that comment isn’t super helpful, but it’s true. Don’t give up. Maybe add in some more walking. I’ve had weeks with 5 lb weight loss and weeks with no loss at all. But on average, I’m losing about 2.2 lbs per week, which is healthy.

I have gone through the same things you are feeling. Even right now! I’m walking an average of about 14000 steps a day and am on week 3 of beach body’s 21 day fix. According to the scale, I haven’t lost a single pound in that time. However, I am noticing more muscle and toning, better sleep and energy levels. So I’ve decided not to look at the scale for a couple weeks. I know change is happening, the scale just doesn’t reflect it (yet).

@lisafrommassachusetts hey it’s so good to hear from you!! I’m glad that you are doing good even in this crazy time that we are living in.
I am doing well. I’m about where you are on the calories and am able to get my Protein in most days. I’m not feeling so great on the energy but I did just find out that I’m severely low on my Iron so just started supplements for that and am hoping that it helps.
We have been trying to do a lot of outdoor activities with our kids like doing foot golf, batting cages, and golf. We also enjoy hiking. So on the days that it’s too hot to get out and do any of those kinds of things, I do the walk a mile in your home and try to do several of them. At my 3 month appointment my surgeon wanted me to add some resistance training but I haven’t done too well at being consistent with that so it’s definitely something that I need to work more on.
As of today, I have lost 90 pounds since February!🤭 however, I still have a long way to go. I’ve been thinking on what my “goal” weight should be. Currently, my BMI is 34 but I feel like if I get to a “healthy” BMI, I would probably look sickly. I don’t ever remember being that low in my life (although of course I was but definitely not as an adult).
Anyways, I’m rambling. I’m excited to hear from everyone!

I was 9 months post sleeve last week. Depending on the food I can eat more than a cup at a time, bread and bread like foods slide down easy (but I feel rubbish afterwards so don't eat them much). Dense Protein and salad still fills me up with small amounts. My restriction is definitely there, if I make the smart food choices!

I’ll be 14 months on Monday and have been maintaining for about 4 months now. It took a few months to sort out my maintenance plan which is why I dropped below my goal weight (not that I’m complaining).
Yes, I eat more than half a cup of food. For lunch & dinner I eat 80-100g of Protein & 1/3 cup vegetables or a good cup of shredded lettuce but I do this over 25-50mins. If I try to eat more quickly my restriction kicks in something fierce.
I also eat three Snacks a day. At the moment I’m in the sweet spot with a fast metabolism & I’ve discovered I’ve a very small window of how much I consume to maintain (skip a snack & I lose, eat a little more or have an extra snack & I gain). The snacks will go as my metabolism slows.
I tend to be pretty consistent with the foods I eat & stick to a routine of when I eat to ensure I get in my protein (I aim for 50g for my current weight). I try to avoid sugar, limit carbs to multi & whole grains (no bread, rice or pasta), avoid starchy vegetables, no carbonated drinks (except an occasional soda or tonic water) & a glass of wine or gin about once a month. There are days I feel hungry & days I don’t.
From month 5, I was learning about me, how I needed to live my life, what I could eat (what my tummy could tolerate), what I should eat & putting it into practice. It still takes work every day & it always will for me.
What the next six months will hold for you will depend on how far along you are in your weight loss journey. Be aware that what works for me or others may not work for you. Best advice I was given was to listen to my body. Take a breath. Put your cutlery down. And ask yourself are you really hungry? Do you really need that extra bite?
I’m so glad I had this surgery. I hope you continue to have success & reach all your goals & not just the one on the scales. 😁

The amount, and speed, of weight loss in the first six months after bariatric surgery is mainly determined by genes, so one person's results are in no way predictive of anyone else's. There are gender-specific differences in weight loss that you'll also likely benefit from.
Genetic expression, however, is dependent upon environment, so we can all help our DNA along after surgery -- and for the rest of our lives -- by following key evidence-based bariatric rules such as no liquids 30 mins before or after meals, staying hydrated, practicing Portion Control, mindful eating, Protein first veggies second, chewing food extremely well before swallowing, not slipping back into old eating behaviours and food habits, reading labels if you eat packaged foodstuffs, getting in at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic physical activity per week, getting enough sleep, and taking all of the required Vitamin and mineral supplements.
Wishing you well with your surgery!

Honestly I'm on the fence with this one. I've seen unhealthy eating and/or exercise behavior promoted often enough on WLS boards or weight loss boards in general.
Support groups, be it one IRL or an online one can be very helpful. However, they can also be highly toxic environments. People seeking support should be aware of their own inner reactions and act accordingly. I for sure do.
Ever seen how the reactions to these posts are? Way too often plain smug, arrogant and downright insensitive. Who would want to talk about struggling and regain in such an environment? Not me.
