I agree. This is perfect time to really concentrate on yourself. I live in So FL where weather has been much warmer than usual for March/April. Most days I’m exercising outside by pool or in pool.
I tell all by the time I’m out of isolation I’ll almost be @ goal & Ill be nice & tan!
Only problem is the few bit of clothing I bought for Spring may be too big & never get chance to wear them! That should be my biggest problem. Also- I like you’re attitude!

You look great! Congratulations! Can I ask how tall you are? My surgeon said my goal may be 165. I think 145. I’m 5’3”. 66 yrs. Sleeve 9/23/19. HW 285 SW 245 CW 180. When I see someone look great like you always want to put it in prospective.

Yikes. That’s a lot of whining. Crying & mental breakdowns. And you’re only 2 weeks out. Let’s toughen up a bit. You can do this! It’s not a walk in the park but it will be worth it. And yes it does get better. Just keep at it. You must drink. Sip at a time. Doesn’t this great early weight loss give you incentive?

I never peed so much starting about 2 days after surgery. Couldn’t go at all right after surgery. Your body has to chill out a bit.

My upper arms have always been big. Stopped wearing tank tops @ 21 when my male cousin flicked my arm fat & called them “grandmother arms”! I’m now 66 & live in So FL so it’s plenty hot.
Surprisingly I lost quickly in my upper arms. But I will always still have bat wings.
Just joined Planet Fitness & I’m determined to work out in active tanks.
    Bat wings be dammed!

Even though I am no expert I would think at your age of 22 you would have best chance of minimal sagging skin. I’m 65 & just had GS in Sept. so I understand my likelihood of possible sagging. I’ll deal with it when I get to goal. Meanwhile I’m looking forward to getting healthy& extending my life. And FYI - I’m single & this old baby boomer is still conscience of what my body will look like!

I had GS 9/23. Lost 38 lbs. There are going to be ups & downs. It still surprises me when I don’t lose when I’m eating so little. Then I got bronchitis which affected my asthma. Had to get 2 steroid shots. After 1st shot literally gained 4 lbs overnight. Tried not to freak out & just kept to the plan. My surgeon says I’m losing slow but as long as I keep moving downward which I am now. In my support group our mantra is “trust the process”. Just hang in there.

When others think having surgery is easy way out- luckily there aren’t many- I tell them everything about food has changed for me. When I eat- what I eat & how I eat are totally different now. But in my eyes it’s a GOOD different. A healthy different. Even though I’m only a little more than 3 months out from GS it’s pretty much 2nd nature now. There’s still a lot of food I won’t eat yet I.e. most carbs I still feel I’m not missing much. I eat when I’m hungry not when I’m bored which is major change. I do miss occasional cocktail or my glass of wine but eventually I may try a little down the road. This is major commitment that is so worth it. And I’m not the fastest loser but as my support group mantra states “Trust the process” you will get there. As of this AM I’m down 38.5 lbs & 12 inches. I’m sure during this holiday season plus my birthday is in 2 weeks I would have gained!

Glad to read info about stall. My surgeon says I’m losing slowly but at least I’m going downward. Except when I got bronchitis that kicked in my asthma & had to get 2 steroid shots to breathe. Literally overnight gained 4 lbs.! Took couple of days for it to come off & now losing extra slow. Was out last night & everyone said I lost a lot of inches. So will accept that & TRY to stay off scale! Happy Holidays to all
