5 years out and trying to get back on track
At this point since your so far along, i would just try to give yourself a daily calorie intake you want to hit. then base your meals off of that, and protein first. If you stay under your calories for the day, regardless of what you eat, you should lose and then maintain the desired weight. I would say 1500 calories a day, but maybe you want to get with a nutritionist and have them reevaluate your BMR.

Get back to focusing on your protein first and staying away from the unnecessary sugars. You got this. Easier to do it now then let it go longer.

No pounds lost in two weeks
Firm believer in early on sticking to your plan and ride it out. You are spot on with what happened with the 3 week stall. Stick to what youre doing. As you get farther along you will have to switch things up but not now. Follow your doctors plan.

Do you see yourself as thin yet?
i struggle with this as well. Ive been in maintenance now for a couple months and i still dont feel as if im where i need to be. i think a lot has to do with the extra skin for me. Part of me feels like it keeps me strict on myself though. So maybe its not the worst thing. Fear of going back is the worst part about all of this for me.

Breads & the such
im 11 months post op today. This weekend was the first time i had pizza. i handled it no problem. I still have had bread as far as on a burger or sandwich, but my plan is to stay off that as long as possible. I always figured if i can stay away from bread and sugar drinks then ill never regain. But overall foods have definitely gotten easier.

*Almost 1 year post op
Try setting a fitness goal for yourself. Maybe a 5k? Thats how it got started for me. My new addiction is exercise. I just completed my first half marathon 3 weeks ago...and now im training for a Triathlon. I find if im working towards a goal it makes working out easier. My nutritionist wants me eating 2500+ cals but that based off my training. 150 miles on the bike a week plus 10+ miles of running. its struggle because i eat a lot of small things constantly, but its all healthy foods. It sounds like a lot but i trust her 100%, shes gotten me this far, and i definitely notice a difference in my performance if i dont eat. Good luck!

My Transformation
Hey all! I haven't been as active on the site recently, due to the virus and just focusing more on life. But i'm coming up on 10 months and i did some transformation pictures. I hit my goal in month 7 and since then ive been trying to maintain a balanced diet that helps me put some muscle on. ive been getting in 1500-2000 cals a day, but that means im eating pretty much every hour or two and still drinking my 2 protein shakes a day. But i'm starting to see results so im really happy with that. I still have not had bread, and honestly i dont see why ill ever need it again. I do treat myself here and there. Once a week i will have ice cream, (its my favorite and i dont want to deprive completely) and i allow myself one meal where its kind of a free for all as far as not worrying about protein, but i naturally finding myself not wanting junk anymore. I crave veggies and fruit more then ever. I hope everyone is staying safe and continues to fight the good fight. I hope you all have a great Friday.
