Rubberband, is that the total? Are there any additional costs? What did they require of you to have the surgery - 100 lbs? Comorbidities? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I really hope its only 1. I was eclamptic with my last baby (a few months ago) and had a full on eclamptic seizure and emergency csection. My BP was up for a while after but seems to be coming down. I wonder if that would work? I need to go see about my BP. I don't have diabetes or anything yet, but it all runs in my family and I feel like its only a matter of time if I dont do something soon. Please let me know what you find out.

Fdiljn I am also just starting my research about getting a lap band through Tricare here on the coast. When I asked my ob/gyn at Keesler she said on base they don't do dependents. I wonder if Tricare sends family members out? My husband is at the Seabee base and I've never seen my PCM there but it sounds like thats where I need to go. Please let me know what you find out. So you have to have TWO comorbidities? Also, what standard do they use for the 100 lbs overweight? Is it the PCM that needs these things to refer me to Tricare? I'm sorry, I just found out tricare would cover it and now I am starting my research. I've never been to my PCM here so I'm hoping he's accomodating. Thanks.
