  1. I have a lot of friends with similar or higher bmis that have had great success with it and also cost. The surgery center I found is doing sleeve for 9k but the bypass is over 18k. My insurance covers none of it so this is completely out of pocket.
  2. Hey I am having surgery on September 4th. My liquid diet starts 8/21. Anything I should expect going in? I am 29, 319lbs, 5'8'' with bipolar disorder. I have talked to my psychiatrist about this already and am going to keep her informed throughout the journey of course. I am scared and excited. I will admit I delved into the comments section on a facebook ad about the sleeve and got myself more scared but everyone I know has had great results. The only negative I have heard was someone who didn't follow the liquid diet after the surgery. So besides following doctors orders, any other advice or tips? What should I be prepared for? This is my first surgery!
