Telling or not is completely up to you. But don't let other people opinions dictate what you do in your life. You know why you are doing what you are doing; anyone in your life that can't respect that, isn't worth being involved in your life anyway.

Not sure if I'm so different because I'm a guy, but I personally don't care who knows; my health, my choice. If people don't like it, I will gladly point the door out of my life.

I disagree, I am 4 weeks out and get about 800-1000 calories a day in. What you want for a caloric intake will be affected by what surgery you had more than anything else. No disrespect to anyone, but I would trust the team that rearranged your insides rather than us random people on the internet.

I have not. My calories are usually 800-1000 a day, and I have stayed losing to the tune of about 1 pound per day.

My second follow up is next Wed, and I have been bad.... I already transitioned myself to sorta solid food as soft wasn't cutting it.

I was on Trileptal as a mood stabilizer for a while and it worked wonders for me, and didn't add any weight. I will definitely say, that being on Keto did almost as much for me as my mood meds though.

My wife had a rny about 9 years ago, and if she eats too much sugar, her blood sugar bottoms out and she gets the shakes and such. Is there a drastic reaction like this on the ds?

I'm with you on Wed, the nerves have kicked into overdrive here as well.

Well, I know he does the full DS, but I don't want to go to another practice because it will screw my insurance and cost me a crapton of money. I just don't get why he is trying to push one over the other, when I have many reasons why i want the full DS, not the least of which is to avoid a second damn surgery.

I get 6 servings of raw vegetables, or like cream of wheat. So basically, 1 normal meal for me split across the day. Id love some meat or eggs lol. My nerves would be better if everywhere I went for preop and such people weren't like "oh wow, you're getting a full switch procedure."

Just under 7 days, absolutely. This preop diet is killing me, and getting really hard to stay on.

Yeah, this is osteoarthritis, so I'm already missing some of the padding, lol. I've got a pain doc willing to do some work to try and help, but I have to lose some weight so the needles will actually get into my joint. End of the day, losing weight will help no matter what with my health, that's my focus at least.

So, surgery is set for 9/18. I haven't been apprehensive at all in this whole process, and now having an actual date seems to be making me more anxious lol.

I am having a DS as well, start my diet on Tuesday. Trying to avoid last supper syndrome this weekend.

What surgery are you having? I know I'm sore too expect to stay 2-3 nights for a DS
