  1. So many people here have! Lots of inspiration to be found amongst members of this board.
  2. After talking with my surgeon and PCP I’ve set what I think is my final goal weight. Originally we all decided 155, which was a bit over “normal” BMI. I’ve now dropped to 149 and am feeling really good. I’ve set my “final” goal at 143. This will put me at exactly half of my starting weight! Not sure why, but that feels like a significant number and feels like a perfect goal. I’m hoping to reach it by 8/13, which will be my 2 yr sleeve anniversary. Here’s to 6 more lbs to go and then starting the maintenance process!
  3. Yes! Of course health reasons are important. However, it feels amazing for the first time in my life to be called “hot” and “little” and “tiny” and wear whatever I want.
  4. Check consignment stores too in addition to thrift shops. We actually have a couple in Seattle that only sell plus sizes.
  5. O.M.G. Homemade mushroom ravioli! Looks and sounds amazing. I love that my sleeve allows to me enjoy things like this, but also like you could be totally satisfied after just one.
  6. I’m ok with it in general, but not comfortable diving too deep. I’m a nurse in a mental health & addictions clinic and some of my patients have no filter. Some have made me uncomfortable with their comments, but I have no problem telling them so. As someone going through a divorce I’m actually really enjoying the looks I’m getting from men, it’s a novel thing for me.
  7. I have a 1:1 CBD/THC gummie most nights for sleep. Works wonders. Since I have it just before bed no issues with munchies. My PCP knows and is fine with it, haven’t mentioned it to my WLS surgeon. However, I’ve surpassed her goal weight for me so I assume she wouldn’t care.

@ms.sss those jeans highlight your super flat belly. Looking cute & hot in the casual wear!
  9. I had a tummy tuck, arm lift, breast lift & augmentation in Miami in January. I paid $16,100 for all three procedures. I went to Dr. Alex Earle at Pure Plastic Surgery. He and his team are awesome, I highly recommend them.

Not sure I see a scenario where I’d actually wear this, but it’s fun to try on! Found cheap on Shein.
  11. I’d lost 56 lbs at that time. Yes, my insurance covered the repeat sleep study.
  12. It was such a relief to get rid of mine! I had a repeat sleep study at 5 months post op and had zero apneic episodes so was able to turn the machine back in.

Well you look awesome in them. Adding a pair to my shopping list!
  14. My parents have been overall extremely supportive. However, I haven’t seen them in 15 months since just before COVID. My mom recently saw a pic of me and said “Oh my goodness, you’re so beautiful now!” I know she meant well, and had no intention of being hurtful, but the comment did sting. Often people say things without really thinking about how it will be received.
  15. Zero regrets about surgery, except as mentioned above not doing it sooner.
  16. I’m very torn at this point. Some things have been said that will be very hard to put aside. However, I love my husband and if I felt like he was willing to work on things, I’d also be willing to try and work things out. However, he has been very adamant so far that he will not go to counseling. I’ve got an appointment scheduled this Friday with a marriage counselor. I will go on my own either way.
  17. Thank you, I believe that too. There’s someone out there who will appreciate all of who I am and the journey I’ve gone through. For now though I’ve got to just take care of me and get through this.
  18. There probably is. I’m going to one on my own, but he has refused to go to counseling.
  19. Over the last year my previously supportive husband has grown increasingly insecure. The icing on the cake was my plastic surgery in January. Although he seems to like being seen with the “hot” wife, he’s also incredibly insecure, and has suddenly, after 7 years, decided it’s important to him to have a subservient wife. Something I’ve never been. No amount of reassurance is talking him off this ledge. Ugh.

Are these the awesome ? boosting leggings from TikTok? I need a pair!
  21. Yes, and the tummy tuck I had back in January makes it even better :)
  22. I’m 18 months post op. Mine are nearly invisible. I left them alone.
  23. Yes! I mix my protein shake with cold brew every morning. So yummy!
  24. I’m all about routines. On my work days I weigh naked 1st thing after I pee. Days off I weigh after my morning workout.
