I hate it when I am walking through the grocery store and find myself singing Barney songs. (Watch it all day with 1 year old) I hate it when my husband says he has so much work to do but yet sits on the couch all day. I hate it when I bend over and the shower curtain gets caught in my butt. (Makes ya realize how much I need the band).... I hate it when I have absolutely nothing to do I hate it when my one year old decides to wake up right in the middle of :sleep....really sucks. I hate that I dont have anymore things to hate....:eek:

Thanks Harley Girl......Consultation went fine today...i am excited and nervous all at the same time.....the only thing i have left to do is fax over my blood work and conscent form from my PCP. They said I should be having surgery in about 3 or 4 weeks ....just ordered my Optifast...yum...yum :hungry:.......Any advice on things i should buy and have ready for when i come home from surgery?

I had a breast reduction 4 years ago....removed 6 lbs. I didn't lose any sensation at all except for on the left side of my boob....it is kinda numb ....feels weird when i scratch it ...but other than that everything is working properly....I had sensation like 3 hours after surgery.....the nurse came in to help me put on my tighter bra and she grazed the nipple with her hand or elbow or something and i felt it.....so that mad me happy. Guess i got lucky.

Well unfortunately if you live in Louisiana and your husband works for Entergy Aetna will not cover bariactric surgery...due to the fact that Entergy writes their own plan and chooses what they will cover :angry.....Does'nt that suck!!!! Oh Well....i have my loan already..just thought i would call and check since i read this thread.

Hi Everyone!!! I cant wait to be banded...I am sort of new to this site. I have been reading all these different boards i have even posted on some. I have my first consult on May 1st. Just wanted to say Hi to everyone ....Good Luck too all who is due for surgery soon!!

I go to my doctor May 1, 2006 for my consultation. I am excited and scared all at the same time...I cant wait until i start losing. My doctor is Thomas Lavin...I live in NO Louisiana...I will be cash pay cause Aetna sucks. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and i cant wait til i am banded...hope i have a good experience. I have read many many post on here some are wonderful some are scary. I have mixed emotions about everything. Well i cant wait to join all you banders.

Hi Shontel......LaPlace, Louisiana here. Going through the process to get the band hopefully i will have it for the summer if i dont chicken out.

I have Aetna Managed Choice i live in louisiana and the doctors office just delt with my insurance and they denied so i will be cash pay...anyone know anything about Aetna Managed Choice?

What does PB mean????....not banded yet and dont know what that means

Melody....:clap2: ......I am going through the process right now to be banded and i can't wait.....very nervous but anxious. I hope that i am as lucky as you and lose that much weight the first week....thats what i will need to keep me motivated. I would really love to hear what people have to say about there weight loss experiences with the lapband.....but i cant get anybody to answer my questions......well congrats to you and GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

:help:ANYONE OUT THERE HAS AETNA MANAGED CHOICE....I HAVE NOT YET APPLIED. JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAD TO DEAL WITH AETNA AND IF THEY GAVE PROBLEMS.

Hi....My name is Cindy I am from Louisiana i am 36 years old...married with 4 children oldest being 20 and youngest 1 year. I am at my wits end with weight i am to the point where I dont even want the day to start because i dont have anything to where....i have never been at this point before...this is the most i have every weighed in my life....it is taking a toll on me....i am 5'8 and weigh in at 290....i am scared to death to have surgery....can anybody offer me some information on lapband and there progress....thank you very much
