  1. :welcome::welcome:NDBeeKeeper !! Well i didnt get my water in sunday due to horrible PB. I did manage to get it all in Monday, Tuesday and finished 64 ounces so far for today. Last night i did some dancing for exercise. I had so much fun. My son and his gf were dancing with me...we danced for over an hour. We did your typical line dances. I think i will continue to do this at least it is something.
  2. :welcome: Regina and PAB to the June Band Crew!!! I did not get my water in yesterday i was short by 20 ounces...i had the worst PB yesterday..lasted almost 2 1/2 hours. I did manage to get my water in today. I go for my third fill Thursday.
  3. I just bought a bike last week and i managed to ride 1 mile and was about to die. The seat is also uncomfortable on this one and i have the gel seat. I know i am out of shape but i thought it wouldnt be anything to ride my bike for a couple of miles ....did one mile and my legs felt like jelly and i had to stop half way and take a break. I was also pulling my one year old behind me in one of those little carriage things for kids. How did you all feel when you first started to ride....am i just sad in riding a bike or what?
  4. :welcomeB: to the June Band Crew Cathy!!!! We are all here to help one another. I don't post that much but i love reading what all my fellow junbies have to say. I am starting to post more because i really would love to get to know everyone on here. I got all my water in yesterday but i was soooooooo bad. I ate icing off of a piece of cake. Not just a lick.....i ate about 3 tablespoons and it was good but i felt really guilty after i had done it. It was my sons b-day cake. Well i took care of it...i threw it out.....my family said they didnt want anymore of it so out it went. I have been snacking on sunflower seeds but they are so high in fat. What do yall snack on? I started today...i always journal all my food and liquid intake. So on each new day i am going to write a goal and show my family and try to achieve that goal for the day and if i dont i know they will rag me so it gives me that push to make sure i accomplish that goal. I read in a People magazine that Kirstie Alley danced for exercise. She also said that on Oprah. I made me a cd with some songs that had line dances to them that last for 30 minutes. I am going to try and do that everyday. I love to dance so we will see. What kind of exercise do any of you do?
  5. Good Morning Junbies!!! I made my water goal last night. I had 64 ounces of water and about 10 ounces of tea. I am in for everything. As far as the christmas challenge thats fine to set our own individual goal. We just need to decide how we are going to do everything. August challenge for exercise would be great too...i need that. I live in LaPlace, Louisiana.
  6. Melissa Lea i am at a stand still also. The scale has not moved in 2 weeks but my clothes are different too. The scale will all of a sudden just drop....i know it will so i try not to get discouraged. I was getting on the scale everyday but now i do it only once a week. If your eating right and exercising then you are doing all the right things and it will show on the scale..just hang in there....we can do this. Scales are demons. :funscale:
  7. I am all for the christmas exchange. I can also do the $20 gift card to walmart for the highest % of there weight. I think that both of them will be fun. No reason we cant do both of them. I am game for anything that is fun or a challenge. I also think that a get together is a good idea. Would love to meet my supportive group of junbies !!!
  8. PinkyLee.....Not losing much off of the waist yet. That is always my last place to lose....unfortunately it is the biggest place i have to lose. I am losing in my legs and my face. I can really see in my pics. I can tell a little in my waist because of how my jeans are fitting me now. This water challenge was an excellent idea.....i never thought of my water before the way i do now. I actually drank some tea today and what a change of taste after drinking soooo much water. I hope my weight starts to move again i am stuck at 260 but i have only been stuck since i stopped exercising, i just started back yesterday so we will see. I am challenging myself to lose 61 pounds by christmas.....seems impossible but i sure am going to try. We should start a challenge for ourselves for chirstmas...like the biggest loser receives a gift. I would be willing to do a gift card just like JQpublic is doing. Like a $20 gift card to walmart. What do you guys think about that. Our own little june challenge and it will light a fire under our butts. Let me know what you think and we can make rules together and decide on a start date.
  9. LeenaBeena....My consultation was on May 1 2006, and my surgery was June 5, 2006. I was self pay so it went really fast.
  10. I barely made the 64 ounces yesterday...it was hard yesterday for some reason but i did it....i had to use the bathroom all night long but i got my water in...
  11. Is everyone just eating 4 ounces of food or way more than they are suppose to. I have been reading post about stretched pouches. They said to test your pouch to do some test with cottage cheese, i hate that stuff. I dont think that mine is stretched but how would you know. My doc doesnt do fills under flouro. Just curious. I know i eat more than 4 ounces of food.
  12. 96 ounces of pure H2O yesterday...i was waterlogged!!
  13. Current 261 (-29 lbs total, -2 this week)
  14. If you find Sugar Free CIB let me know where you get it from. The only one i could find was No Sugar Added and never did see low carb.
  15. Veggestyle.....Hi....I am not a long time bandster. I have only been banded since June 5th. I am 36 years old and wish i would have done this when i was 23. So far i have been very successful with the band....my surgery was a breeze. Had very minimal pain. Was up and walking up and down my street at the end of the day of my surgery. Yes, there are risk BUT there are bigger risk to being obese. Lapband is helping me to enjoy life again and not be such a hermit crab. 23 is young but i have read a web page about a 13 year old having lapband....go to www.obesitycontrolcenter.com and read the testimonies of some of these people...i believe there are two 13 year olds that had the surgery. Even though your doctor says that the risk are high....i believe that risk are even higher if you life a life of obesity. Any your young enough to be able to live a long and healthy life and enjoy it being thin. I know many people that have lost hundreds of pounds from lapband. Lapband is a tool not a miracle and you will hear this from others....You have to work with the band or the band will not work for you. I have a friend that lost over 150 pounds on lapband and another that went from 200 to 113 in 8 months she is only 5'4 so 200 pounds on her was alot. Just do your research.....just remember you will the same amount of risk being obese...I am not a doctor but i new what was better for me. I have an awesome family doctor that said lapband would be a good option, especially since he knew i had failed at losing weight many many times. Hope some of this helps you to make your decision. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. Like i said i am not a pro but i have also researched. Good Luck in your decision.
  16. Hi Everyone....I got my 64 ounces in yesterday by the hardest...I really had trouble eating a tomato. I cut it into very small pieces but ended up feeding it to my little girl. After a few small bites i got that stuck feeling. I am scared to eat anything.
  17. Thanks Telly and Tricia!!!
  18. Hello...My name is Cindy and I would love to be a member of the Gone For Good Club. I was banded June 5, 2006. So far my journey has been pretty good. My weight loss is successful so far. My current goal is to be in ONEDERLAND!! My highest weight was 290 Weight at Surgery was 287 Weight Today is 263 (have not weighed myself in a while) Goal Weight is 140 Current Weight is 263 I know i weigh less than 263 but i havent been weighed in a week. 19. :clap2::clap2::clap2:.....Congrats on the size 18 Melissa Lea !!!! Way to go!!
  20. :clap2: :clap2: I managed to get all my Water in for yesterday....64 ounces of pure H2O. Today i need to try for 128 ounces to make up for Thursday. I hope everyone is doing good job on there water intake !!!
  21. Barbara....I am doing liquids today...i am too scared to eat anything after yesterday. Yes, I do know what caused it. A cold boiled egg. I have no problem eating them when they just come off the stove. I guess it was the yolk that got me....being it is kinda pasty and hard to get down and was even harder to get back up. Then about 3 hours later i was starving because i hadnt eaten anything so i had 6 almonds and some water well i guess i swallowed way to fast and up they came....well the slime stuff. I was able to keep a piece of chicken down but i cut it up very very small....didnt even taste like anything it was so small....but your right since my stomach feels kinda funny and tight today i am gonna stick to liquids...How long you think i should do that...my do usually says a day and a half. This band does have a mind of its own!! No doubt!!
  22. Well I did not make the water challenge yesterday....was very upset that I couldnt do it. Usually i can drink way more than 64 ounces. Band had its own mind yesterday because everything i ate came right back up. I think i should go back to liquids and mushies for a couple of days....what do you guys think? Stomach is kinda of sore from not being able to keep anything down. Today i will definitely get my water in!!! Should be pretty easy since i will be doing only liquids and mushies. Good Luck To All Water Drinkers Today!!! :spit: :spit: :spit:
  23. Ok, my second fill has disappeared. I am all of a sudden hungry all the time again.....this sucks....i love when i have restriction. I have an appt. with doc august 3rd but i dont know if i will be able to hold off that long...may have to go in before that.....restriction has just went away in the last two days. I need to focus because i am doing so good but last night i screwed up and ate some cookies...100 calorie packs.....I ate 3 of them...i wanted to cry after i ate them....but i couldnt help it...i am craving.....It is time for Aunt Menstrual to visit..I hate this. I feel like i have blown it..:phanvan ENCOURAGEMENT NEEDED!!! I am ready for the water challenge!!
