Good afternoon, I just had my surgery a week ago and looking for support from others that are going through the same journey I am. I live on LI and looking for fellow Long Islanders and the group if I could join Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App- 3rd Week Post Op, lower belly cramping
My Dr put me on stool softener day after surgery. I take 2 a day and I have to say they helped. You do not want to strain. My first BM after surgery was a killer, but once I started with the stool softener it became better. (TMI) sorry- Stage 2 diet cream soups
You may want to try butternut squash or creamed corn. Both I found in the organic aisle of my food store and both low in soduim- Update and Picturessss! :D
You look amazing!!!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App- Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
I had the same experience with a friend. Saying you can do it on your own. You are not that heavy. Just be happy with who you are. I am happy and I am a good person but my heaviest was 291. I am now experiencing health issues that is why after 2 yrs I decided to do the surgery. I learned not to say anything to anyone else but family after all her comments. Unless, you are walking in our shoes people do not understand, but feel they have a right to make hurtful comments. I congratulate all of us for becoming a healthier you!!!!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App- Exercise Plans
I am 9 days post op and all the exercise I can do is walking. That is what my team recommends for the first month. Once, I get cleared by the surgeon I can do more. Since I am home for a month I am walking every hour during my waking hours. Every other day I push further my walking. I think I am up to a 1/2 mile now. Want to be a mile by my post op visit. Ok, thank you just my stomach was making weird noises and moves. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App- Sodium
I had some Soup today from a Chinese take out. I just had the broth, but it had more sodium then I probably should of had 9 days after surgery. I am drink Water do you think anything will happen to my sleeve? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App- How often do you weigh yourself?
I am guilty of weighing myself everyday, but that is because my nutritionist taught me that way. I write down my daily weights then average them for 7 days and that is the actual weight I am for a week. I am trying to get out of that routine and just way weekly also. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App- Any Long Island sleevers?
How is everyone doing after surgery? I have to say I read so much on this site and so far I am doing better than I thought. I was very concerned with the gas pains but never got them. The nausea was kept under control and now 9 days post-op during well on liquid diet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App- Anyone from New York City?

Congratulations !!!!!!..- Anyone from New York City?
Hi, I am not from the City, but Long Island. I was just sleeved last Thursday the 18th of August. So far I am doing okay. I sometimes read to much on here and get a bit nervous that something will happen to me next. I am keeping a positive mind.- Multivitamin
They are pricey the Bariatric Advatage Mutlivitamin.....m My Dr also recommended CELEBRATE MULTIVITAMIN --MULTI COMPLETE 45-----it includes the MVI! B12, VITAMIN D and IRON....it is cheaper and also a Capsule...I am going to try them after I finish the other ones. If anyone has tried the CELEBRATE MULTIVITAMIN..please let me know if they are any better than what I am taking now. Thanks- Multivitamin
I also take the Bariatric Advantage Multi EA Chewable. They are ok thought they would taste better. Going to ask my Dr at some point can I change to everyday Vitamins from CVS instead of having to get them on line for the rest of my life.
