  1. I guess I am lucky -- my doctor is only requiring a liquid pre-op diet for one day. And I have been told NOT to drink protein drinks before surgery as they cause weight gain. Good luck!
  2. Fantastic advice!
  3. you, my dear, are a ROCKSTAR!
  4. My date is June 3rd, 2019 ~~ following your thread and excited to see everyone's progress
  5. Thank you!! I am glad my feelings are "normal". I am going to follow you, if you don't mind ~~ we can watch each others progress And I, like you, am not doing this to "wear a bikini" or anything like that ~~ I would just like to cross my legs again and not breathe hard when I walk
  6. I can SO relate to you!! My surgery is June 3rd (in just days) and I am SO terrified that I won't be able to overcome my binge eating I, like you, can eat a whole bag of chips in one day... I NEVER feel full until I am almost sick from eating! My starting weight was 287, now I am 275, so I must be doing something right, but my mind keeps thinking about "food funerals" before my surgery, and this is a very warped way of thinking, in my opinion (as applies to myself). Today is the first real day I have felt that fear, and I don't like it! Congrats to you ~~ you have done an amazing job ~~ you should be very proud!
  7. OK, so this sounds totally dumb, but I am self pay, and my surgery date is June 3rd, which is only days away!! I dropped off the check to my surgeon this morning when I had my Pre-admissions work-up completed, and now I am freaking out.. Scared, overwhelmed, nervous, anxious, excited, happy, elated, and just any possible emotion you can think of.. But the main emotion I am feeling right now is FEAR!! And I can't even explain why.. I have been heavy all my life -- I am 5'5" and I weigh 275 lbs. for goodness sakes! I think I am scared of failing, and not overcoming my food addictions. And I have searched high and low for just ONE person that regrets this, and I haven't found that person yet, so everything in my brain is telling me I am doing the right thing, but I am STILL SCARED... Advice please???
  8. Just simply tell them the truth -- you are watching what you eat and exercising!
  9. 30 lbs. down in 2 weeks? That is fabulous!! My surgery isn't until June 3rd, so I have nothing to share with you, but I sure hope I do as well as you have Congratulations!!
  10. Thanks for your honesty! I am trying to get ahead of things beforehand (as much as I can anyway)
  11. Thanks -- I'm getting anxiety attacks already But still so excited!
  12. I am scheduled for surgery on June 3rd, and I am wondering how long it took everyone to return to work? I have a desk job, and am seriously hoping to return after one week, ir not sooner. Is this possible? Thanks!
