  1. What part of Arkansas are f you don't mind my asking? O am in Bartlett, a suburb of Memphis Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Yay me!! Just got my new treadmill today. I live in Tennessee where the heat and humidity are terrible, and I can't imagine trying to walk outside after surgery without passing out. What do all you June sleevers do for exercise? Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I sleep on my right side so this is a concern for me as well. Good luck! Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Welcome! Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. My husband still doesn't support my decision, and my surgery is in 8 days! I just keep telling myself I'm not doing this for him, I'm doing this for me. Hopefully at some point he'll be able to stand beside me and be proud of who I've become and how far along I made it. If not, that's his problem - not mine. I agree it would be much easier if he supported me though. Good luck to you! Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I'm thinking you will be more prepared than me for the liquid phase after surgery though. Honestly [emoji6] Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Congrats! I'm June 3rd [emoji3] Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Yep!! June 3rd ends life as I know it. Which is not a bad thing, I do realize that. But it's still freaking me out nonetheless. I am most worried about the pain after the surgery and how quickly I'm going to feel like going back to work. Hopefully I will be going back to work the next week, but from reading everyone else's posts it's a wait-and-see, thing. my anxiety levels are extremely high at night when I'm laying there trying to go to sleep and my mind is racing. So you are not alone... Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I heave read many times on here ~~ if you start to fail, go back to the basics ~~ start with the liquid diet again to help you get back on track. Good luck!
  10. I agree with the other two ladies -- in addition, I am taking Biotin since I heard about hair loss on down the road (my surgery is June 3rd). I wanted to be as prepared for that hair loss as possible! My multi vitamin, calcium citrate, and biotin are in gummy form, and my B-12 is sublingual liquid, which doesn't taste bad at all
  11. You guys rock too!! My husband would NEVER consider doing this, so I personally think you are a badass
  12. I know right? Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I am very lucky -- I only have to do a one day liquid diet, so that will be on Sunday, June 2nd
  14. I am having VSG on June 3rd, and I have read all these May 2019 posts, and you ladies are rockstars!! So inspirational, and informative, about what I need to expect in just a few days now... Best wishes to you all!!
  15. My VSG is scheduled June 3rd, and I am also in "full panic" mode.. But I am taking the advice of many others... just BREATHE... We got this!
  16. Pre surgery testing for me was ultrasound of liver, abdomen, etc., EKG, and labwork. That was it! My surgery date is June 3rd [emoji3] Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. I am having the sleeve on June 3rd (right round the corner). I am 55 years old, 5'5", and my highest weight was 292. I currently weigh 275, so we are about the same. I honestly will tell you I am feeling fear at this point, with only days left of "life as I know it". I can also honestly tell you that I do NOT fear being thinner, healthier, and more in command of what I put into my body for nourishment. The honesty from me continues here ~~ I do NOT like wearing a size 24 pants, or a 2 XL shirt, or buying clothes that are not fashionable, and cost more. I do NOT like feeling like the "fat girl" in any room I walk in, although I have a very outgoing personality. I do NOT like feeling unattractive and I do believe first impressions count in this world we live in. So, in order to do this, I am going to conquer those fears, and embrace the "new me". I am also hypothyroid, and have been through menopause, and my primary care doctor has told me that I need to lose over 100 lbs., and this is my best option. He said only 2% of the population is able to lose that kind of weight on their own, and I know I am not in that 2%. So I am biting the bullet!! Feel free to follow my progress on here if you like ~~ and good luck to you
  18. Honey, you look FABULOUS!! This is a mind game ~~ although I haven't had my sleeve yet (its scheduled for June 3, 2019) I already know I am not expecting "certain attributes" for my body, I just simply want to wear clothes better, feel healthy and more in shape, and just generally not let food rule my life... I know I will always have a big butt (it runs in my family), small breasts (which will become smaller), and I am not expecting to wear a bikini, or be the best looking girl in the room ~~ and that's OK with me! Learning to be proud of yourself and the way you look is not easy, but you will get there!
  19. Congrats on your surgery date! We got this [emoji123] Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app

  21. My doctor is only requiring a wind a liquid diet before surgery. Which I guess is lucky anyway, because I know I'll have to do the liquids for two weeks afterward which I'm sure will be plenty! Good luck to everyone Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. I'm also scheduled June 3rd for a gastric sleeve. I'm 55 years old and my present weight is 275 Sent from my LM-G710VM using BariatricPal mobile app
