I decided to get this surgery to better my life. It took a lot of hard work and determination but I have a little one as well who helped keep me on my toes. I lost my first 20lbs before surgery and have lost only lost 49lbs since surgery... I have always struggled with weight issues my whole life and 257lbs was the tip of the scale for me. After I gave birth to my son... mind you that was 8 1/2 years ago I really struggled. Anything I ate, good or bad it felt like it would just stick. I just kept gaining and gaining. I finally made the best decision of my life and had the surgery and to be honest I feel the best I have in years. I have been hitting some rough patches lately and I feel like I haven't lost anything in over almost 4 months. But I will keep pushing.
