Hi everyone! I just love this site! Everyone is so helpful by sharing their stories. I am going to be banded June 22nd, by Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana. I am so excited and impatient also. I just want to start losing weight without feeling hungry all the time. Would be nice to hear what others are doing for their pre-op diets. I am basically doing a liquid diet. I like the EAS Carb Edge (I think that is what they are called). I ocassionally have some cheese or a salad. I have lost 10 pounds so far. Hoping to lose another 10 by surgery. Hope to hear more ideas. Good luck and God bless to all getting ready for surgery.

Hi everyone! I am fairly new also. I just got my surgery date last week... June 22, 2006 with Dr. Ortiz. I am so excited. I have started my pre-surgery diet already and hope to be as healthy as possible by then. Are there any others going to Dr. Ortiz around this date. Good luck Soundman! You will make it these next 10 days. I have been drinking protein drinks for breakfast and lunch the past few days, trying to get used to it. I am trying to stay away from all carbs until my surgery which is in 25 days. I am also trying to psych myself into thinking less about food. Where are you having you surgery? Congrats JulieLu! Please let us all know how things went! Just chatted with a guy who was banded by Dr. Ortiz the 25th. He was very impressed with the facilities and was not nervous at all before the banding. Good luck with your journey!

Thank you Darcey! I am going to get in touch with them soon! I am looking at having the surgery done in Tijuana at Bajanor. I am still saving up money... Hopefully I will be doing this soon though! After reading all of these postings, makes me want it even more. Why did you choose Ortiz? Keep me posted on how things go for you! What band are you getting and why?

Darcey~ I live in Eugene and am looking for a fill Dr. before I make the trip to Mexico. I would appreciate anymore information you have on Dr. Koning and how to reach him. I would prefer finding someone in Eugene but Bend is better than Mexico!! I haven't been banded yet but I hope to very soon. Janelle

I have not been banded yet, but I to am looking for a Dr. that does fills in Oregon. I am going to have my surgery done in Mexico. I think ant Bajanor in Tijuana. Anyone been there or are from Oregon?

Has it been hard to find someone in the states to do your fills? And is it expensive?

Hi Islandmom, I understand you were just banded at Bajanor. I am so ready to do this and would love any info you are willing to share. I have contacted Dr. Carlos but do not have insurance so I have to save up a bit more before I can schedule my banding date. What band did you get and how do you feel? Do you live on the West Coast?
