    Hello All
I'm new here but been reading a lot of the advice people have to give and the support and it's great. I Decided to have wls last year but honestly my previous pcp has been recommending it for years I just didn't want to hear it. I just knew I could do it on my own without any surgery. I tried a few times and was successful maybe once but gained all my weight back plus a few pounds over the years. Now I'm over 30 and thinking to myself why did I wait so long to make this decision? I guess I just wasn't ready.
I'm officially near the end of my pre op requirements and I can say this is a long process that I'm positive will be well worth the wait. That being said I am nervous and excited at the same time. Is that normal? Like I'm sure I can do this but what if I mess up? What if the surgeon messes up? What if I never get to my goal weight? What if I go below my goal weight and I don't know what to do with myself? What if I change as a person will it be for the better or worse? What will people think? Do I care what people think?
I know I'm a little bit of a mess and I'm trying to get my head in the right space for this life change and I'm working on it. I also know I can't stand the wait but great things will come after.
    Thanks for listening

Hi! Are you just over 30? (I'm 65 but technically over 30 also😁) If you are just over thirty than you are still young! You'll do well with this, get good results and your skin should snap back more easily than us -ahem- more mature folks...It's good that you are doing this at a younger age!
It's TOTALLY normal that your emotions are all over the map right now. You are going into the unknown with a life changing decision. You'd have to be a rock NOT to be a bundle of emotions right now.
Visit here often--you'll get lots of helpful info and emotional support. Keep us posted--YOU GOT THIS!!!!

So I’m about 3 months post op from my last surgery- D-Switch and have only lost 20lbs and even that was lost during pre-op diet. The STRUGGLE is real. Anyone else?

Oh my, I don't even want to tell you what the tab of final wardrobe updates after plastics. I tend to be a high-quality, low volume shopper seeking classics that last for decades. Only at this stage in life a few decades - I'll be 80! But, what the hell. I'll economize in other areas. Haha. Having a few fab custom thick leather belts (corset styled) made by Etsy gifted artisans from eastern Europe for a fraction of the cost. For the more trendy stuff - I adore our local consignment shops and estate sales or deeply discounted department store sales. Seriously though, I am looking forward to a dependable more stabilized closet. Here's one of the new blouses the new belts will go with. Of course, all the new jeans in several flavors are being hemmed for the shrimp. Oh, and my new warm hoodie - we finally got cooler temps this weekend!

I popped over to the thrift store. Nothing exciting to report, but I did get a pic of what I’m wearing today. I’m in my new favorite jeans that I wore yesterday. I also dragged out my converse. Well, I guess I did find some brand new high rise dark wash Levi’s for $12, so that’s exciting! I’ll get a pic tomorrow.

Mr. scored us tickets to a show tonite, so I get to get dressed up again!
I'm wearing like 4-inch heeled booties to try to hide the fact that I didn't get this jumpsuit hemmed yet (even though I bought it months ago...) You can't tell so much that its a tad too long when I'm walking (or sitting with legs crossed), so I gotta make sure I'm only doing one of these things, lol.

Rawr I see some sharp dressed men in suits. Looking very sharp Jake.

This thread was busy yesterday. Thank you for all the compliments yesterday. Today I have another new outfit. I’m not to sure about the top. The only drawback of only being able to buy clothes online. But I actually look like I have a butt today. Yay. And I actually wore a necklace today.

Have a wonderful day. This week has been crazy at work. I’m ready for Friday at 5.
