  1. That's a way to think about it!!! Thank you for your uplifting story. I just need to calm down lol
  2. That's how I feel lol. I'm scheduled for June 19th. Super nervous too lol. What kind of pre op diet do you have to do? Mine is 2 weeks of full liquids only.
  3. That's the fear that I have because of my babies. I guess you don't really realize how much you really live for your kids until you're faced with something like this. My kids are my world but I know if I dont do this, I'm more than likely going to die young anyway from some obesity related complications.
  4. You have to update me as soon as they give you a date!!!! Our pre op diet is sooooo much fun lmao. We get 2 weeks of full liquids and in big bold letters it says DON'T CHEAT Haha. It made me laugh when I saw that.
  5. Do you know what kind of pre op diet you will have yet? Mine is 2 weeks of liquid only but at least my surgeons office doesnt require a bowel prep lol
  6. Keep us updated love!!! I know this has been a long journey for you and I hope you get a date close to mine lol
  7. All great points! Thank you. I've slowly started to wean myself off of carbonated drinks. Diet Root Beer is my stuff lol. My surgeon said I could have diet soda on my liquid diet but I'm just going to go ahead and quit it while I can. I'm pretty active already because I have 3 kids and my 9 year old son is very active lol.
  8. I've had 3 c-sections and the first 2 were a cake walk but my 3rd one was so awful. I'm hoping this isnt near as bad as that was. I have an extremely high pain tolerance but holy crap. I think it's because she was my only girl and had to make sure I never wanted anymore kids lol
  9. That makes me feel loads better. My landlord is in his late 60s and just had a double knee replacement lol. Makes me feel so much better that the odds are so low. I know I'm just being a paranoid psychopath but I'm a worrier. It comes with having 3 kids lol. Thank you so much for making me feel better. How was your recovery?
  10. So how did everyone get past any fear you had? I'm so terrified of dying on the table, dying from malnutrition, or complications. On the other hand, I'm so excited that I can't stand it lol I'm having the surgery no matter what but I wanted to know if these feelings are normal or if I'm just being a paranoid psychopath....
  11. Omg hahahahahahah. I go on June 3rd for Blood work and meet with the nutritionist for post OP instructions. Surgery is June 19th
  12. Lexapro would have been a better choice. Celexa does nothing for anxiety. Sorry, been a psych nurse almost 20 years. Oh I'm glad you said something because, dont get me wrong I love my PCP, but he acts like he has no idea what will work. I was on Klonopin for a while but my panic attacks got so bad they weren't helping anymore. He has been chasing his tail to find something that works but it's mainly been antidepressants that make it worse. I had Adivan(spelling?) A few years ago and it was as needed and really helped. A months supply lasted me 3 months a lot of the time but that was a different dr lol
  13. Well maybe that's a good sign! Maybe they dont need anything else.
  14. It bothers me soooo much lol. They put me on Celexa for anxiety last month but it made it worse.
  15. You sound exactly like me. Type A...it’s tough. I’ve been on 1mg Klonopin 4x a day for 3 years because I have PTSD and anxiety goes along with that. It helps but I still have to try to learn how to meditate, I’m told that helps. I have no clue how to even start because my brain doesn’t calm or shut down, lol. New skills to learn. Much luck to you. I hope you get something to help with your anxiety. I know how exhausting it is to constantly be anxious and on edge. Hugs Thanks love. I meditate every night while in a hot bubble bath with those bath bombs because those scents tend to help me relax.
  16. Thanks love! I'm so excited. I got the email today with all the instructions and now it feels like it's really going to happen.
  17. Mine is from being a planner and a control freak. I have really bad anxiety if my fate is in someone else's hands. I'm hoping my dr will call something in for my anxiety because it's making me nuts. ~Kass~
  18. We have to take a diet class and do bloodwork from what Leslie told me yesterday. I have to do the preop stuff on June 3rd. I have to meet with Dr Paul May 2nd. I hope we get a date close to together lol
  19. Thank you darlin!!!! Have you emailed carrie about them not getting ahold of you? Leslie called me yesterday morning. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
  20. I almost puked everyday because my anxiety was so bad lol
  21. Oh wow!!! I would probably make them crazy calling all the time too. I emailed my nurse so much I'm sure I made her crazy lol. I hope you get a June day!!!
  22. I got so excited I screamed into the poor lady's ear lol
