  1. I do know you care and yes I'm pretty sure that's all it is. I've been pushing my limits because the hubby is working so it's up to super mom to get things done. Haiden (my 9 yr old) has been amazingly helpful though.
  2. Me too. I've been able to drink all my stuff so easily that it kind of scares me. I mean it really makes me wonder if they just opened me up and then closed me up Haha. Now I know what our other siblings meant.
  3. Last Wednesday was surgery and I just started feeling like this. Things like this typically dont happen. A few cases where people have minor complications but no biggie.
  4. So my surgeon told me if things got worse to go to the nearest ER. Well I did and the ER dr said "are you sure you're supposed to be here? We dont have anyone who does gastric bypass" I'm super sick, weak, and having severe pains in my stomach. I hate some drs who dont want to help. Needless to say, I'm waiting on a CT and labs from a dr who thinks I dont know what I'm talking about. Hah
  5. She said that it sounds normal so I feel better. She called me in a muscle relaxer and that seemed to help so much more than the pain pills did.
  6. So I managed to go today and it was black so maybe that's a good sign. I told them and my dr said he thinks things are fine but if things get worse to go to my nearest ER. I am so glad you adopted me lol. Your posts always make me smile.
  7. Not a whole lot of nausea. I havent noticed a temp either. As for my heart rate it's a little faster than normal but not much. I called the emergency dr exchange last night and my surgeon happened to be the one on call and said this sometimes happens but to email or call the office today to update them.
  8. Yay!!!!! I didn't have a catheter. They said since it's such a short surgery that I wouldnt need one but I have seen a few of our group that did need them. I asked my nurses as soon as they took me back to prep me.
  9. So idk about anyone else, I'm on day 5 post op from my bypass and omg my left side hurts so bad. I knew to expect pain because this is a major surgery but I've seen so many people say they didnt hurt very bad. It's so bad. When I get up, when I cough, when I laugh, it pulls and hurts. I've emailed my drs nurse because yesterday I went number 2 and it was all blood. Did anyone else experience any of this? Other than this though, things have been going great. Been up and moving around some and sipping and resting.
  10. I used my biotene and chap stick like crazy. My hospital also did not supply shampoo, conditioner, or soap so I was so thankful that i packed my little travel size bottles i got at Walmart. I also used my deodorant. I only brought a little backpack and my CPAP (which my hospital forgot to use). I also brought my portable charger and charger cord. Super helpful since hospital plug ins are usually a hassle.
  11. Me too. I'm not swollen that much but I'm hurting pretty bad. That's normal though im guessing considering the beautiful trauma my body just went through. Still super scary so I understand
  12. That's normal honey. Thats from all the fluids they pump into you. Should be about a week or so and it will go down.
  13. Thats my fear. That I'm drinking too much water and I'm already stretching my pouch. It's terrifying me a little but my dr came in and said I'm doing good. Just being paranoid I guess. How are you feeling?
  14. Thank you everyone. Its greatly appreciated!!! Dr just came in and said I get to go home today. They're getting my discharge stuff done. 1 day in the hospital and I cant wait to be at home in my own bed.
  15. It took until day two for me to pass gas. It took a week for a bowel movement. I had to take laxatives daily and ended up using a suppository. I had a lot of hip pain due to arthritis and was taking oxcy for pain. They think that’s what slowed my bowel movements. Since then, I’ve been taking Colace daily, as recommended by my doctor for at least another week — to make sure everything is “flowing” okay. Thank you for your honesty. I just did a suppository so hopefully things will get moving a little. I'm just ready to go home to my own bed and my own toilet lol
  16. What about going number 2? They want us to poo and fart before they let us go home. How long did it take for yall?
  17. I couldn't pee til hours after surgery but the next day I was going more normal, just with a bit of discomfort from the cath. that I had in during surgery. I'm 2 day post op and my left side is killing me but it's definitely still some gas stuck in there and also (tmi) I haven't had a bowel movement so I'm assuming that all plays a part in this discomfort. I havent had one either. I've been assuming that mine is gas pain too.
  18. How long did it take everyone to pee after surgery? I pee'd once right after surgery but now I'm having a hard time peeing. Dehydration maybe? I've managed 9 oz of water since 12. I know I need more but ugh. And the left side of my body hurts so bad but honestly, this wasn't near as scary as I thought it would be.
  19. Good luck today!!!! Prayers for a speedy recovery! Thank you honey. Things went good. I'm in a lot of pain from the gas but other than that I'm doing good. I've attempted to walk the halls twice so far because I've been sleeping lol.
  20. Girl I didn't believe it when people said it comes fast lol. I'm so excited that I can't sleep lol. I gotta be up at 3 to get ready
  21. I'm sure in a few months this will just be a blip on the radar compared to how great you are going to feel :)
  22. I hope that's how mine is in the morning lol. How are you feeling today love?
  23. Let us know how everything goes when you feel like updating love
  24. Your time us coming up momma!!!!!! I'm so excited for you
