My husband just had lap-band on May1st, does anyone know if it is safe to ride roller coasters this soon after surgery? He seems fully healed, and is returning to work on Wed. so we wanted to get in a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure before we don't have much time together....

I just joined the forum yesterday, so I am not good at this yet! I am also from Orange County. I was banded 8/15/07 at Valley Hospital in NJ by Dr. Daniel Davis. I have lost approx. 50 lbs, but ran into a little snafu when I recently found out that I lost quite a bit of saline, which was how I found the site, cause of course I ran home to research what that meant as my doctor was very vague. Now that I found out what was wrong and that it wasn't my fault that I stopped loosing, I am back on track and excited about it! It is so wonderful to know that there are other people out there going through the same stuff. My surgeon is new to Orange County, he is out of Manhattan, so he doesn't yet offer support groups, so I am really glad I found you :cursing:!!
