  3. I am home resting. Pain is manageable. Sleepy but trying to balance awake time and sleep time.all seems to be ok. Drinking the one ounce is interesting because I get pain in my stomach but it subsides quickly. I'm looking forward to getting some energy back soon.

  9. Moving is one the highest stress events in our lives. Be kind to yourself and stay focused on your original goal ... making healthier choices... and you will get back to where you want to be on the scale. Sending you positive thoughts and virtual hug!
  10. My doctor told me to expect 1 pound a week. So maybe you are building some muscle right now.
  11. Mine too... 20 mg twice a day
  12. Thank you for this! It is refreshing and a relief to read!
  13. Did you not have success with the sleeve? I'm scheduled for the sleeve on the 6th...
  14. Thank you all for your insights and encouragement!
  15. I've heard this theory as well. I wonder if this subsides though. Sounds like it does.
  16. Interesting experience. I hope that levels out for you. I'm scheduled for surgery on the 6th and have been concerned about these types of changes as well. Keep us posted on whether it improves or not.
  17. Being in emotional pain for the better part of 45 years and now in physical pain for several years and after dozens of failed attempts to lose weight, I've decided on bariatric surgery. Surgery is scheduled for March 6, 2019. I was excited for about a minute... then the fears set in. How drastically will my life change when I lose the weight? Will my husband and I still love each other? Will our lives take such different paths that we grow apart? What will family and colleagues say/think? Am I vain for wanting to do this? Then there is the uncertainty of success... Can I truly commit to this new lifestyle? Will this be added to list of failures? I am committed to this decision and yet as I sit here while the family is still asleep, with tears streaming down my face, I keep asking myself "why are you afraid to be thin?"
  18. I am scheduled for March 6th and the fear is setting in... will it work, will I starve, will I be able to maintain the recommended diet, will my tastes change, will I still crave cake and buttered popcorn... the list is growing by the minute.
  19. I am scheduled for March 6th... And I'm starting to get nervous. I worry I will not transition into the new habits, I worry I will lose all of my hair, and I worry I won't lose any weight.... bundle of worries here.
