Hey, you're doing awesome. I would suggest not to weight yourself everyday.. It's nos going to show any results. My doctor told me once a month. ( obviously I can't do that lol) but I see more results doing it once a week

Yes, that's totally familiar. I've had this and couldn't find a comfortable position. The only way I would feel "okay" was sitting on the floor with my legs extended to the sides. Like making a V . it's horrible

I've also experienced this. My chiropractor said it's pretty normal when you fundamentally change the way you move, which we do (often without realizing it) after losing significant amounts of weight.
I'm treating mine with chiropractic care and trying to build some muscle to help properly hold joints and things in place. I also have a massage scheduled soon!

Swimming takes a little while but helps. If you don't have swim fins, invest in a pair. They help you have a better balanced workout.

My joint pain is better when I walk 60 mins everyday at the gym. If I miss a day or do the bike or short walk and weights I have hip pain at night. So I think exercise does help. My ortho did tell me as I lose weight I may experience new or changing pain in my hips and back as my center of gravity changes and or loose skin begins to pull in different ways than the fat did. But he said that would get better too, over time. Hang in there, hopefully it will get better for you.

I have joint pain too. And back pain. Doc said it is likely because our posture and gait fundamentally change when we lose weight and our bodies have to get used to it. He recommended physical therapy, which I'll start in a few weeks.

I had a lot of joint pain after I started losing weight. I think as you lose weight your body begins to move around and change so things hurt. I kept walking every day and started swimming and I now no longer have pain. I also went and had a few massages. I think I just needed to make my self stronger to alleviate the pain.

I'm only 3 months post opp and I have so much loose skin in my arms... I started going to the gym right after I got cleared. But like they say in the other comments, it's also about genetics( I'm 23)

Wear your loose skin like a badge of honor! It's a reminder of what a success you all are!
I have the middle 'apron', I think it's called. I've had it since pregnancy, so it's only going to get worse. Since the skin has been like that for years, surgery will be my only option after weight is lost.
My dermatologist told me years ago to use Zeazorb, a powder, in the foot care aisle. It keeps me from having skin problems. I use it anywhere there is skin to skin contact.

Use this time to think about how you want to eat for the rest of your life. In my opinion, every bite and sip after surgery and for the rest of your life should be as nutritious and healthy as possible. Artificial sweeteners, colors, and flavorings don't meet the healthy criteria. Water and herbal teas are great. There is a lot of research that shows artificial sweeteners to be very detrimental to weight loss. They confuse the body/brain - lots of sweet but no calories? Let's just lay down some fat reserves just in case. The stuff is toxic - a chemical cocktail. If your goal is long term healthy living, just give it up now and be done with it. Just my opinion, and I wish you the very best surgery!!!

Sleeve done on Jan 8th here. Down 28 lb since surgery, and 73 lb total since I started the journey around Aug 1st. Don't regret the decision at all, but have had a few challenges.
Reflux started on day 2 or 3 post-op -- none prior to surgery. Started taking omeprazole OTC and has improved greatly. My surgeon just told me that I could try to stop taking it anytime I wanted, but if reflux continued just to go back on it and try again in a few weeks. The other thing I've learned is not to eat or drink anything at least 30 minutes prior to going to bed.

What do you guys do, take, or suggest to stay up and energetic? I work in a warehouse, 10 hrs shift and I'm dying EVERY DAY! After that I go to the gym and I feel like I can't workout as much as I would want to cause I'm so tired. Asked my doctor and she said that it's like that the first 3 months. Pretty much to deal with it... But it's getting out of control. ( I'm almost 2 months post op)

I haven’t had my surgery yet, but 10 hours is a long day and I’m guessing in a warehouse your pretty active. Maybe since you are only 2 months post op your body is trying to tell you to rest so you can heal. Take care of yourself.

I wasn't working out at your stage either... Honestly no energy or desire for it.
Heal up, do what you can, take your Vitamins, drink Water, focus mostly on your diet and wait for the energy to return.
It will come back as long as you take care of yourself.

I've had pretty good energy, but then again I'm retired and don't have do do physical labor for 10 hours like you do. I've been going to the gym. I'm eating nearly 100% Protein as I'm full after I eat the protein part of my plate and never get into the grains/carbs/veggies/fruits. And I'm taking all of the chewable vitamins. Good luck!

I am so glad that I went past the first page on this forum and found this post. I hit a stall this week-at week 5, and it actually looked like I put a pound back on. I went into a funk for a day, well it probably was a little longer than that. I was upset, frustrated and was close to losing my mind! I did check my weight and I am back on track, weighing what I did last week. I have decided to weigh myself only once a week. I have to trust that if I work the plan, the weight will come off.
