Wow , surgery on dec 19 and ur eating food ? I had it Dec 20 and am still on Clear Liquids . Finally got some diet Jello down yesterday . Today going to try my slim fast and pure Protein Shakes but I have trouble doing more than 2 oz every 15 min. I too am still very sore in the midsection , but walked 10k steps yesterday and gas/bloating much better . Burning a hole in my parents carpets wandering around the house ! LOL

This OP could have been written by me. I had gastric bypass surgery on December 19, and I'm still in pain. Or severe discomfort. I cant tell if its gas, pain from the manipulation (some larger bruising on my right side) or if this is my new hunger pain. Or a bit of everything all mixed together. Right now it feels like I have a tight giant rubber band around my midsection. I'm trying to walk around the house, but I still feel tired pretty quickly.
I keep a water bottle by me at all times, and can only comfortably take in 1/4 cup of food at a time. I know I'm not getting nearly enough Protein. It's my current struggle. Well, that and making sure I dont dehydrate.
I am however, completely and thoroughly sick of cream Soups made with milk and strained. Tomorrow I'm getting some pre made Protein Shakes just to shake things up. Pun intended.
I was having severe buyers remorse yesterday, but I've been talking with some friends who went through it and am trying to keep in mind that 2 weeks will suck, but then it will get better.
Ugh!

pinksparkle1965 reacted to kmn1109 in Anyone gone to Blossom Bariatric (self-pay) in Las Vegas?
After wading through insurance crud, I looked into self-paying and doing it thru Blossom Bariatric's Fast Track program in Las Vegas. My cost would be $6300 all-inclusive, including hotel and transport between hotel and facility for the five days.
The selling points include convenience as opposed to the options available with my insurance (closest hospital covered by insurance is a 6-hr drive vs. a 90-min flight to LV), no worries about losing weight before the procedure and getting declined (I'm borderline 40BMI), and no 3- or 6-month waiting period.
I have three concerns:
1) Post-surgery followup and care.
2) The "safe sleeve" procedure they do... I can find very little information about it.
3) Not being able to meet the surgeon prior to committing to surgery at the facility.
So... has anybody out there had the "safe sleeve" procedure through Blossom Bariatrics in Las Vegas?

I PRAYING I heal within this 3 weeks so I can go back to work.. but as of now I'm still moving around slow. Vsg was okay it's the hernia deal that's killing me

pinksparkle1965 reacted to batty_vsg in December 2018 Sleevers!
Hello everyone!
I was approved a few days ago (after only waiting a week) and received my surgery date for December 12, 2018! I chose this date out of the few offered to me because I am currently in college and I will be able to finish up my classes prior to the surgery (which was a huge worry of mine.) It's about two weeks before my birthday too!
Anyone else scheduled out in December?
