Kris77 got a reaction from gerl86 in Pre-op diet working?
Just follow all the directions they give you. If you cheat or eat something you’re not suppose to then it won’t do what they need it to do. Remember this is the start of a life style change so commit to the plans they have for you so you can be successful long term. You can do it! It will get easier!!!

-Food is not your friend.
-Food is not a reward.
-Food is not an escape.
-Food is not a drug.
-Food is not a treat.
-Food does not comfort you.
-Food is not a celebration.
-Food is simply fuel for your body and nothing more.
The sooner you accept this, the better off you will be.
Sadly, I am still trying to convince myself to believe these statements.

You won’t cheat. You can’t bc if you do your liver won’t shrink like they need it to. They need it shrunk so they can better visualize your liver. Take this as a lesson in will power bc after the surgery this will be your new life...a birthday of sorts. You can do this. Follow all the rules so you can have the best outcome. Good luck and you can do it!!
(My pre op was liquids only too so I know how hard was and is going to be for you) Focus on the prize girl...A new beginning. Best of luck and you can do this -

Are you willing to join these before and after photos that showcase your diet? I started this thread because it focuses on something very positive and it has nothing to do with how a person looks.

Kris77 got a reaction from FluffyChix in Heartburn..Heartburn??
Had my sleeve end of July 2018. Yes it got better for me. Never had heartburn before in my life (aside from my two pregnancies). It did go away after about 4mos. I just took Tums with me in my purse and that helped me. Hope it gets better for you like it did with me. Think of it this way...for me the heartburn made me really question every little thing I ate bc of the repercussions (heartburn) -

Did you make it or order it from somewhere? Someone else posted something similar but she is in Barcelona, Spain so I can’t run and grab that. Pls tell me you’re not in Barcelona?! -
Kris77 got a reaction from mparker26 in Struggling after surgery
I too struggle with a big sweet tooth. Best bet is to not buy candy/desserts...instead buy sugar free pudding or sugar free Jello. Bc your pouch only fits so much a few spoon fulls should get your pouch satisfied and quench that sweet urge. Doesn’t mean that occasionally you can have a bite or two of a dessert but my suggestion would be to not have that stuff regularly or kept in your house where temptation can creep up on you.
Keep strong and do the best you can do...everyday is a learning exp and trying to retrain your brain and bad habits. Bad habits have been the hardest for me as well...specifically sweets...skittles etc. I’m a work in progress too. I struggle daily too but I just try my best every day...sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fall down...but I get back up and tomorrow is a new day. Good luck and YOU CAN DO THIS!!😊👍🏻 -

A thought for you
You should no longer cross oceans
For someone who wouldn't jump
puddles for you.
Stay strong, don't lose your commitment, you are going to do what needs to be done for You on February 5th. And I am proud to know you now.

Hey everyone, After losing 286 lbs. I am getting ready for my first skin removal surgery in 43 days. With the busy holiday season I know the time will fly by. I still can’t believe I am at this place in under two years. SW 487. CW 201
I am having arms and thighs done first. Any advice would be welcomed. Has anyone done that? What was recovery like? I am an impatient patient and tend to push and expect allot of myself. But I need to be realistic. Just how incapacitated will I be having all 4 limbs cut on at once? I can handle pain, I just don’t do helplessness very well. So I need realism and tips please.

Almond flour works as a great sub for the sesame flour. Or any kind of defatted nut flour--even pecan flour! Hope you like it.

Nope I’m happy to get rid of my big clothes!! You get to buy new clothes and shopping becomes fun again! Nice trying things on in “regular” sizes. Still have more to lose but getting there!!
