I'm so sorry to hear that you've had to go through all this. It should be smoother sailing for you shortly. I was blessed and lucky to have not had any complications. Please take care.

Stalls are a normal part of the process, even though we hate it and we may be doing everything right with exercise, Water, Protein, and calories. They still happen. Don't let it worry you.

It'll be more normal soon. It's just a transition from your body undergoing major surgery.

OMG! I'm so happy I could dance down the street naked! I FINALLY made it to Onederland today, 5 months post-op sleeve.
I've been stuck in a stall for five weeks, teasing me at 202 and so close but so stuck and I thought I was never going to lose another ounce for a minute or two.
But now I'm finally a LOSER! Yay! So excited! Now I feel like the scale will keep moving and it can go down to meet my goal.
So glad to be in the 100's again!

Hi @GradyCat okay sooo I’ve just stepped on the scales again and it’s gone from 116.7 to 116.9 Kg. On the edge of a breakdown! How do I control this weight gain is it normal because I am seriously not even eating unhealthy or anything !

I WISH I was losing that fast! 🙂 Don't worry, there'll be stalls along the way and your body will catch up with itself.

You can't compare yourself to others because they start at different weights, have different metabolisms, etc. You're doing GREAT, you're ROCKING IT!

Sure, we're still going to have hunger, but it's more manageable. It doesn't completely go away, but it's not so intense that it drives us to eat with abandon. Also, we still sometimes have that awful "head hunger" that we have to deal with and learn to ignore.

Can your husband come over and tell me that there's no deadline? Lol. That is a great point. He's right. The only deadline out there is my own rather arbitrary one.

Here's me at 3 weeks post-op, plus a little weight lost during pre-op surgery diet. Only about 15-20 pounds, but I can still tell a difference.

GradyCat got a reaction from Ruth9454 in What, you had NO surgery complications?
Going on 4 months post-op and no complications. Surgery went fine. No pain after surgery. Nausea limited to the first day post-op. No problems getting my Protein in, swallowing Water, sleeping, nothing. Happy camper here!

GradyCat got a reaction from Ruth9454 in How did you decide the sleeve was for you and any regrets?
I was pretty sure I wanted bypass then when I met with my psychiatrist and therapist, they both suggested the sleeve instead, saying it was "less radical" although it seems to me it's "more radical" because it permanently cuts out part of your stomach, but I listened to them and did the sleeve. No regrets. No complications, No problems.

GradyCat got a reaction from Ruth9454 in Energy after surgery?
I've not had a problem at all with energy since having the sleeve 5 months ago. In fact, I might even have more energy now that I've lost some weight and I go to the gym and/or walk 5-6 days a week.

Yes, we call these NSV's - Non-Scale Victories. Mine include necklaces fitting around my neck that didn't fit before, my watch isn't cutting off my circulation, and I can see my toes!
