i know of someone, an older lady, who had gastric bypass surgery at a hospital in Georgia.
the next day, the daughter brings a box of Cinnabons to her in the hospital room. they proceed to start eating them. she tears open her new stomach and has to go into emergency surgery to save her life, cleaning cinnabons out of her abdomen.
moral of the story? there seems to be no limit to the stupidity of most people in this country. it is infinite and almost beyond the imagination. while some bariatric offices are better than others at preparation and patient education, none of that really matters when dealing with the average American.
    look at our president.

I too tried several chewables and found their sweetness almost sickening. liquids were even worse for me.
Two recommendations on Complete Multivitamin in capsules: These can both be gotten with or without Iron, depending on what you want.
Celebrate Bariatric Multivitamin requires 3 capsules a day and then the ProCare Health Bariatric Multivitamins that come in a single capsule per day.
As to Calcium with Vitamin D, look at the Life Extension calcium citrate with Vitamin D3 in capsule form. I have found that soft chews for calcium/vitD from both Celebrate and ProCare Health to be quite good but more expensive. I especially like the caramel from Procare to be my favorite. So I take a mix of the capsules and soft chews for some variety.

I rarely use Protein Shakes anymore unless I'm adding it to Decaf coffee.
I am getting my 60g of protein in daily, my surgery was 8/20 - It sometimes takes up to 6 meals a day, but it's doable.
tuna Creations has flavored tuna and salmon with 13-16g protein, coupled with cottage cheese - 20+ grams of protein per serving.
Yogurt - Dannon Light and Fit Greek and Oikos Zero is 15g of protein per serving
The idea is to now slowly ween yourself off protein shakes and move to more solid foods to get the necessary Proteins. It's out there, you just have to not be as picky and accept this is for nutrition.
My meal portions are no larger than 3 oz and are usually more so around the 2 - 2.5 oz mark.

    Soft Proteins, yes.

    I used my own recipe.

    2 eggs
    15oz part skim ricotta
    1/4 cup grated parmesan
    1tsp ground garlic
    1tsp black pepper
    Dash of basil
    1tsp Italian seasoning
    1tsp salt

    Mix all these well.

Spoon 1 to 2 teaspoons into each spot on a mini muffin baking pan that you’ve sprayed with Pam.

Sprinkle a touch of reduced fat mozzarella on top of each.

    Bake 20 minutes at 375.

I’m thinking of making a bariatric cooking/recipe blog. I love cooking and being inventive and really want to stay within my approved foods. So it may be neat!

I am not a soft touch. I am direct. Feel free to ignore my post.
You said "I hate them. I justify it. wondering how bad my checkups will be ?" Your choice to take them or not.
