  2. Yes we are almost there. I'm not looking forward to preop diet but I dont have much of a choice. Lol. Thank you for the well wishes I wish you the same.
  3. Hi. Your surgery is the day after mine. I'm excited too it's been a long process to get here. I'm not too nervous yet but I'm sure that will change the closer I get to the date. Congratulations and good luck ?
  4. Congratulations. Keep me posted my surgery is on September 23. Good luck?
  5. Congratulations. Good luck. Keep us posted?
  6. Congratulations. Everything is going to be just fine. We are all nervous. Keep us posted. Good luck.?
  7. Good morning. Congratulations. I think we are all nervous on here its comes with the process. Good luck.
  8. Your preop diet sounds exactly like my after surgery diet. My preop diet is 1 slimfast for breakfast 1 slimfast for lunch and a frozen lean cuisine for dinner. I can also have 1 cup of celery & carrots for a snack. I guess every doctor and every patient is different. Wishing you a speedy recovery as well.
  9. Hello. Congratulations. I wish mine was in August. You're going to be fine. Happy to hear you are doing well with the preop diet. What does your surgeon have you eating? That's what I'm worried about making it through that time and being hungry. At least you only have 3 more days to go. Good luck and keep me posted ?
  10. Good evening. Congratulations. I know the feeling. My journey started in January and my surgery is September 23. I'm very anxious to get it over with as well. Good luck with everything and keep me posted ?
  11. Wow sounds like you did everything right. I didn't do anything as far as my diet to prepare honestly. It was back in January when I had the first appointment with my surgeon. I prepared a bunch of questions that I had for him that's about it. Addressing my diet was the dietitian who I saw once a month for 6 months.
  12. Oh you're a week before me. Congratulations and good luck. Keep me posted ?
  13. Thank you. Yeah it was kind of a long process but well worth it in the end. Surprising that your approval came first before the appointments. I think it's better that was so you already know you are approved. In my case I could have done six months of appointments and then gotten denied. Thank goodness that wasnt the case but i have heard from several people that NY is a difficult state when it comes to insurance. I know a lot of people that leave the state for surgery to avoid the wait and speed the process up. With that being said it will be over before you know it ?
  14. Yeah I guess you're right. ?
  15. Yeah that's what everyone out west always says. Lol. I have a cousin who moved to Las Vegas who always refers to "dry heat" but when I went to visit it was hot as hell out there too. She arrives in NYC this Thursday for her brothers wedding and calls me constantly for weather updates. Lol. She hates the humidity and says she cant take it anymore. Lol
  16. Congratulations. I'm excited as well I guess my nerves will kick in as it gets closer to September 23. Keep me posted of how things go. Good luck?
  17. I live in NYC and this summer was terrible. Even though my temperatures were only at worst 100 degrees farenheit the humidity is what killed us. Everyday they would say it felt like we were up 20 degrees or saw because of it. I know my electric bill felt it. As I type this it's a beautiful day at a wonderful 62 degrees farenheit. I think the summer heatwave has passed in New York City....??
  18. Thank you for the well wishes. I will definitely keep you informed ?
  19. Good luck. I'll be having my ekg & preop bloodwork that day. I'm so excited?
  20. Well good luck. I'm excited myself I'm sure I'll get nervous the closer it gets.
  21. Anytime. Safe travels ?
  22. Wow 2 1/2 years then I guess I shouldn't be complaining about 6 months. Cancelled for missing instruments & extreme heat never heard of that before. I'm sure you are very happy that it is finally over with. Thank you for the well wishes. I can't wait to be on that road as well ?
