  1. Oh wow sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well🙏🏻
  2. Curious as to what foods you are allowed to eat right after surgery. I will only be allowed water, sugarfree sports drinks, sugarfree ice tea, broth, sugar free ice pops (only 1 a day) and sugar free jello. I have to do this for 2 weeks. 😭

    Post-OP Diet Curiosity

Thank you. It's very close to what I was told to follow. I can't wait to eat something that needs to be chewed. Lol.😊
  4. Hello everyone. Found out my surgery date is September 23. Seems so real now. It's been a long 6 months to get here. I'm so excited.....

    Any September Sleevers?

Hi Nikki. I'm sorry to hear what's going on. It's crazy how it just happens with certain foods. I hear it more often then not on here. Doesn't make me too excited to get to solid foods. Trial & error I guess till all is figured out. Good luck with everything. Hope it gets better for you. 🤞🏼
  7. Walk walk walk and walk some more as much as you feel that you can. That it the only thing that gets rid of that pain which is coming from the gas they inflated you with during surgery. It helped me a great deal. I started walking the halls in the hospital as soon as I got my room. Good luck I hope it helps🙏🏻

    Any September Sleevers?

I'm still just on liquids and will be for 2 weeks. Water, sugar free sports drinks, broth, sugar free jello & sugar free ice pops. Im doing great I dont feel any restrictions when taking in liquids. They told me the goal was 64oz a day but I've far passed that. Phase 2 starts week of the 21st but that is only ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt and some soups but I have to puree them in the blender. It definitely has been a better experience then I had anticipated. God willing it stays this way. To be honest I didnt even feel like I had surgery😊

    Any September Sleevers?

Hey so happy to hear your progress you're doing great. I had surgery Monday and I feel wonderful. 😁
  11. I said the same thing. When I went to office yesterday for checkup I told the nurse practitioner I didnt feel like I had surgery lol
  12. Congratulations. I had mine on the 14th and I feel great as well. Had slight gas pan the Monday night but listened to my dr & staff and walked continuously from the moment I got my room and gas discomfort subsided. I'm not feeling much discomfort with restriction either. Been able to get my liquids down with no issues. I only pray it goes as well with phase 2 puree stage. Well good luck and may your journey continue on the same path. 😁
  13. Wooooow I literally had to gasp after reading that. I'm so sorry to hear all that you have been going through. To be completely honest I cant believe how some on here are eating some type of solid food a week after surgery. Even when I start puree the only thing I'm adding is Cottage cheese, ricotta cheese & Greek yogurt other then that still liquid. I cant even have an egg till 2 weeks of puree. I'm doing so well with my water, tea, broth, jello & ice pops that I couldn't wait to start puree and then I saw your post and freaked out. Lol. I'm sure everything will work itself out God willing please keep me updated on your progress. Stay well🙏🏻
  14. I had the sleeve but I'm nervous to start puree after reading your post. I had surgery monday and have been on just liquids and will be for 2 weeks. Puree starts week 3 for me. If you don't mind me asking what exactly happened when you started puree???
  15. You got this hang in there. Congratulations 😁

    October sleevers?????

Hi Ali. Yes by the grace of God things have been going exceptionally well. The only issue I had was slight chest pain Monday night in the hospital but I would describe it more like uncomfortable then pain. I started walking in the hospital as soon as I got to my room and continued to do so until discharge yesterday @4:30 pm. My surgeon and his entire staff stressed to me the importance of moving around so that gas would be gone as quick as possible. I did get a little nausea yesterday morning in radiology when I had to drink that nasty stuff for the xray. Once I got back to my room and had some tea the nausea passed. I can only have clear liquids for the next 2 weeks. One day at a time. I'm glad you're feeling better I hope it continues.

    October sleevers?????

We are out of breath from our weight. If a cardiologist cleared you for surgery you'll be fine. Always think positive. Everything is going to work out just perfect no worries.

Its definitely not easy but it's worth it. Just try to redirect your attention to something else when you get hungry it helped me. It will be over before you know it 😁
