    Swollen tonsils.

So I had my sleeve on May14 last year. But after about three weeks I started getting the sensation in my throat that my tonsils were swollen. Doc said prolly just anesthesia or allergies. Two weeks later still dealing with it. Went back and she prescribed a Z-pack for allergies/cold. Long story short I am experiencing this still. Anyone else deal with this issue? Or is this just something unrelated and coincidental?

    KOMBUCHA

I have indulged this simple pleasure since 3 weeks after surgery. 4ozs is about all I can take. First thing in the morning on an empty sleeve. Sip it or you'll spray it. Cayenne Cleanse and the Lemon Ginger are my faves.

    Best protein bars

MetRx Bars kick a**. Apple Pie is the bomb diggety and the PBPretzel is to die for. But cut them into quarters. TOO MUCH. Robert Irvine FitCrunch bars are freaking awesome too.

    My Hospital Closed.

So I called to schedule an appt the other day since I had to reschedule for a family emergency. I was then advised that the hospital where I had my surgery and where my surgeons office was located is closing. Just shutting the doors. My Dr has to find a new home. My nutritionist is in the same boat. And here I am , trying to figure out wtf I am supposed to do with my ongoing journey. And on top of it the hospital that was supposed to be there for me has thrown me to the bookkeepers. PAY NOW. WTF. Your facility is no longer providing me with the support I need to get through this. I feel like that is part of the deal. Now I need to find another place to get me through this. And really what surgeon is going to take me on for continuing care if he knows the big money is done. And what if something comes up? Damnit.

    Dr. Rickford at Providence DC

Dr Rickford for me was professional and his staff was great. Nutritionist was very helpful in making sure I understood what and how to eat to make sure I had every chance at success. Surgery was a breeze. No complications at all. Follow up was easy. Support groups are helpful. Only had one rough experience and that was an understandable issue. Emergencies always take precedence over follow-ups. I would def recommend to anyone asking.

    STARVATION MODE????

I am post op and have been in a stall for a good bit now. I exercise daily. At least, the very least, I will do the 30 minutes of walking recommended by my surgeon. I am getting in about 1500 calories a day and most of the time 100-120 g protein. Some have suggested that I need to up my intake of protein. etc … But my question is, IS THIS STARVATION MODE A REAL THING???? How can it be a real thing?
