    Can’t throw up??

I have yet to throw up since I have had my sleeve, but I never really threw up anyway. I know that people with they bypass can not throw up. I've listened to my wife do the dry heaves more than once LOL! And she had the bypass.

    I lied

I told a few close friends and family after I had the surgery. No one except my wife and a close friend even knew I was having the surgery. As far as my co-workers and others, I just say I am watching what I am eating and exercising, which really isn't a lie. LOL!

    Post Surgery hunger

1st week I had no hunger at all. My 2nd week I remember thinking I was starving! It subsided though.

    Sunflower seeds

I love pumpkin seeds and it's what I snack on mainly in the evening.

    Beer

I actually had a beer a couple of weeks ago. Took a little longer to get it down, but no ill effects.

    Awkward at Work

I didn't tell anyone at work and they keep telling me "Dang, you're losing a lot of weight!" or ask me if I am on the meth diet... I just tell them I started eating differently and working out. I think I have motivated a few people to start eating better and working out! LOL!

    Beer

I've always been a big beer fan! Love stouts and porters. I do miss them now and again,

    October 2018 Sleevers

I noticed my legs being very dry and flakey after the surgery also, but it's just my legs. They seem to be getting better though.

    October 2018 Sleevers

I brought it up to my doc on my 2nd post op visit because of the holiday season and he cleared me on alcohol in moderation as well as caffeine. I have a few shots worth every other weekend or so, but i did talk to him about it first. My suggestion would be to talk to your doc first. My surgery was on 10/23.

    40yr olds...

I've always struggled getting in the required fluids. I'm much better about it after the surgery, but I have to really keep reminding myself to drink, drink, drink! Sent from my moto z3 using BariatricPal mobile app

    October 2018 Sleevers

Hello everyone! I had my sleeve performed on 10/23 and as of 12/3 I am down 44 lbs. Took me awhile to finally decide to do it. I had lost 60 lbs. 5 years ago on my own, but gained it all back plus some. I was not big growing up and I just didn't recognize myself anymore. So glad I did it. I feel so much better already. My wife had the gastric bypass 10 years ago and a really good friend of mine had the sleeve in June which is great because I ask a lot of "Is this normal?!" questions. LOL! Anyway, thought I would pop in and say hi. This is my 1st post here.
