  1. That's ok but the regain comes down to the person's commitment and how well they follow the rules, you can regain with any procedures.. It comes down to motivation and commitment and determination. Good luck.
  2. Yes the DS combines both surgeries but it is much more intense, will be made to take numerous vitamins everyday 3x a day, you will risk malnutrition because of the extreme malabsorption, obviously you will lose quicker but there have been people on DS that have gone below their goal and ended up heading towards anorexia! The RNY is pretty much inbetween VSG and DS, I really hope you do more research before you make final decision!
  3. Hello folks. I'm new to this whole fitness tracker technology. I keep hearing about how good and how handy this devices are. I would love to know more about them if anybody has any experience to share and a vote on which is best? I want something to track all my steps, calories burned, heart rate, sleeping, any movements, possible to sync with mobile phone? I've heard some play music, some show text messages and notification? Some have alarms to wake up? Really looking into getting one to fit my big wrists and to keep myself motivated and track my daily life once I have the surgery! Tnx for all your input! P.s currently looking at fit bit 3 or Samsung gear fit Pro 2
  4. I've found Swisse multivitamins on sale And centrum
  5. They are pretty strict
  6. Totally agree I'll be 35 when I get my RNY in few months and hopefully it will extend both our lives I want 50 more years plz! Tnx
  7. That's great 6.5 months later still not hungry... Love it
  8. DO YOU GET HUNGRY
  9. Hey how far out are you? Did you get lucky where you're not very hungry? Do you still get full quickly? Have you changed the foods you enjoy?
  10. I was talking to @jazzy1125
  11. That's a huge effort.. what's your exercise regime like? After bypass did you feel hungry or not?
  12. Good work, can I ask your pre surgery weight? Tnx
  13. Excellent work, what was your start weight mate?
  14. If It's prepacked or canned it will contain sugars and carbs unless it's raw fruit, no reason to deliberately overwork your sleeve so early.... It's Not going to help you..
  15. Lots of Information here, you should be taking each step by step MBS-Roux-n-Y.pdf
  16. Hey even if you do want to be skinny that's your prerogative, but honestly I'm sure most people will tell you it's more about our health and future, it's your body!
  17. Yep very high glucose levels diabetes; high cholesterol, high BP, BMI over 40 anyway!
  18. Very weird, I've heard about needing a minimum BMI sure but not having to stay the same.. yes if you go too low you won't qualify but if you gain weight that would show you need help and need surgery...
  19. That death is like one in a million
  20. I can't wrap my head around the fact that people in this day and age are still so clueless about surgery! We are so lucky to have the technology for these kind of surgeries! If you rewind even 100 years people were dying because of no penicillin or antibiotics, we should be so lucky to be alive in this generation and enjoy the advancement in medicine that are being made everyday! If you've decided on surgery you've most likely tried everything else and if you qualify why wouldn't you get surgery if it's guaranteed to help and to make changes needed.. People can go and get fake bolt on breasts all the time without anyone caring but WLS still seems to be a taboo subject which is ludicrous.. it's safe and been done for many years , I don't get the mentality of narrow minded people!! Please don't feel bad at all your mum seems very old fashioned, your weight and your health and your sanity have nothing to do with religion!
  21. Many more offices do RNY which isn't too different to DS, curious what made you feel you need DS? how much weight loss are you needing... There's heaps of information on here for you!
  22. It was just mentioned before GERD plays up much more with SLEEVE it's one of the most common issues with sleeve and why some ppl go sleeve only to do RNY later... And you may struggle even to find a doctor who will deal with a 31 BMI ?
  23. Yeah my dr says he won't be allowed to release me until I recover from the influence of drugs as duty of care...
