  1. I got some relief by laying the heating pad across my tummy.
  2. Wait!!!! Does coke really taste like Kale???? If so, you can keep it!!!
  3. A thought - what goes up your nose usually finds it's way to your stomach. Coke is terribly hard on our soft tissues and may give you a tummy ache, as will the boozers. Please, if you need help with this kind of behavior, call your team, fess it up and get help! Even if it is a "one off" you may tend toward it more now that food is limited. There are support groups out there that can help keep you on the straight and narrow. Best of luck to you!
  4. I’m doing twice a week. Mostly so I can plug it into my app!
  5. I remember everything. Rolling down the hall to the OR. Being amazed at the Schmitt ton of tools. Getting scootched ont to or table. It smelled like chicken in there, which I thought was hilarious. 2 of the kindest OR nurses who kept calming hands on me the entire time, patting my leg, smoothing my face. Anesthesiologist opened the IV, O2 mask placed and mighty night!!!!
  6. Oh, now I'm super excited!!!!!!! Off to look them up!
  7. DUDE! I'm 52 and fatter than you and I'm doing smashingly well! Look at my stats! My husband was super weird about the surgery too, but now that he is seeing the results he is more of a believer. Also, I have never thrown up. Got nauseous 3 times. Haven't had crazy diarrhea. Kinda just plugging along. Don't let him rain on your parade. If you have tried everything and it hasn't worked, GO FOR IT with a nice, clear conscience and a wonderful journey to look forward to!
  8. It is interesting... I was one week full liquids, then 2 weeks on purees. Now on Wednesday I can start softies until 10 weeks at which point I can go for it!
  9. You explained it fine! I am a terribly competitive, results-driven person, so this will be HARD for me. But I'm gonna try!!!
  10. I have the left-sided pain and it hurts like a mother-trucker! I can barely bend over and rolling over in bed causes me to cry out. I'm pretty tough when it comes to pain - this is labor-level pain. It only lasts for a minute or two, but holy WOW!!! However, I am thinner and I prefer to focus on that!!!! ?
  11. I can tolerate pretty much anything at this point. EXCEPT artificial sweetener. I've always hated it, but now the taste of the chemicals just horrify me. SF popsicles were the end for me!
  12. Yes, Batty me gal, I think that's the ticket. I have started weighing twice per week. Today was weigh day and I'm down 2 more, so 15 since surgery. I guess that's faster than I've ever lost 15 pounds before in my life!!!!! And known it wasn't coming back!
  13. Dang you guys are losing fast! I'm only down 13 pounds since surgery. 32 overall!
  14. I know I'm gonna lose but it is frustrating when I see so may lose so quickly! I go back to work tomorrow and I wanted to be all obviously thinner. Good job, you!!!!
  15. Dude! Have you really lost 66 pounds in the 2 weeks since surgery???? I've lost 12!
  16. Holy WOW! You've done amazing work!
  17. I am 2 weeks out and every time I get on the scale the number is lower. Once or twice it's been the same, but never HIGHER! When has that ever happened in my life? Nearly never! What a wonderful Christmas miracle that has been made available to all of us so we can get started on a losing journey! I already barely remember the pain and discomfort and am now just looking forward to being cleared to work out. I never could have done this on my own and I'm just so grateful!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Yes, you are doing great. But if you are stalling at this point, you might want to look at your overall caloric intake. If you aren't getting at least 800 cals a day, your body probably is in preservation mode. Check with your nutritionist!
  19. Of course not - I ain't no animal! I used both ends then got another!!!
  20. I am going to enjoy some hummus and some smoked salmon and some yogurt! And I'm excited about it!!!
  21. Ive been chewing and spitting celery! Needed the crunch!
  22. I am 52. I weighed 231 the day of surgery. BMI was 36 at that time. Don;t be ruled by the numbers!
