Walk...walk....walk.....that's the key!! I am sooooooo happy that I decided to do this!! I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of having it done.
  3. I lost all the weight from the time of the consultation with my surgeon.

  8. I was banded on 5/19 and thought the same thing you did. One of my friends had been banded and was back to work in 5 days. I am just starting to feel better. The gas will subside as long as you walk, walk, walk!! That is the key. I had terrible gas pains in my chest and shoulders and once I started walking it helped tremendously. I also asked my friend what she did when she felt nausea. She told me to take be whiffs of pepperment tea...actually open a box of pepperment tea and take big whiffs....it actually worked!!! Don't feel down, it will all be worth it in the long run!! Good luck with your new life!!! God Bless!!! Fran
  9. WAY TO GO LEXY!!! I was banded on the 19th and had my bouts with GAS!!! Just keep walking as much as you can. I thought I was going to die with the pains in my shoulders and chest but once I started walking more and more they have subsided tremendously. WELCOME TO BANDSTER LAND!!!....LOL. WE WILL DO THIS!!! FRAN:thumbup:
  10. I am feeling great other than the darn gas!!! I still have the shoulder pain once in a while and the chest pain is a killer. I sip everything and as long as it is warm it feels good when I sip it. Pain subsides and then Im okay. If that is the only thing I have to worry about I will live with it. I was told it eventually goes away. I hope it goes away before I have to go back to work on the 1st of June. Any feedback is appreciated!! Have a great day all!!!
  11. I am feeling the same way. Still have lots of gas. Whenever I sip anything I feel like throwing up. I have been walking and walking and walking. Chest pain is the worst! Otherwise I feel great...LOL
  12. I was having trouble keeping any liquids down. So I take a few sips and that is it. The first nite I came home I was dry heaving. Called my girlfriend who had the surgery and told me to sniff on peppermint tea. IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! Looking forward to not feeling nausea anymore. Other than that I feel really good!!! Hope all is back on thier feets soon!!! God Bless ALL!!!!!!

I could have died when she told me that!! I have been through so many loopholes and hoops already and now another one to face. I asked her if the approval comes by Tues will I still be on the schedule for Wed preop and the 19th surgery date. She said yes. Sooooooooo I am asking all for prayers that the approval comes through by Tues or else I have to reschedule everything!!! I was soooooo looking forward to the surgery and getting on my journey to a thinner me!!!
