Vitamins and Shakes
My surgeons office said to make double strength milk by using 8 oz of skim milk and 1/3 cup of powdered milk.... Then I put this with the carnation instant Breakfast or the Newlifestyle shakes. If you go to diet direct as suggested... the newlifestylediet shakes are called wonder slim on there.... Thanks for the tip Lizzie. I found newlifestyles after I came off Optifast and was looking for a replacement... Now I have a cheaper source... Thanks!!!

Vitamins and Shakes
I am using walgreens brand adult chewable multi vitamin. It is a take off of the centrum chewable. It is orange flavored and I am able to tolerate it no problem. For shakes I am using Sugar free Carnation made with double strength milk... and also New Life Style diet shakes they are 100 calories and 15 grams of protein.

You are welcome..... Keep me posted on how things go!

I have my first appointment with my PCM!
Kaleka- I had to attend the seminar first... Tricare didnt require it..The surgeons office did.. In fact I couldnt even schedule an appt with her until they got approval from Tricare.. which they were able to days after the seminar because I filled out all their paperwork.... Once you know who the surgeon is... I would call them and ask for any paper work you need to fill out and if they need records... I really stayed on top of it all... so my timing was only 1 month from seminar to banding

I have my first appointment with my PCM!
It sure sounds like the ball is moving right along!! I remember this stage..... So exciting.... You can go the Tricare website for your referral and it will show what doctor it is for... Mine was up on the website within 24 hours... The paper one will come in 7-10 days....

I have my first appointment with my PCM!
My surgeon would not see me until they had approval from my insurance company.... If you have the name of the surgeon they are sending you to... I would call and see when the next seminar is... Most doctors make you attend that... So you can put a check in that block right away....

1st day on Pre-Op & I already cheated.
Pick yourself up and dust yourself off... and get right back it....I started my pre op way before they told me too... So then when I went there and they said high protein low carb now so I had no problem switching... I only had to do 4 days of just liquids right before surgery....Make sure you have a shake plan with lots of variety or it can get old quick...
