  1. Jessless. Thanks for your take on my issue. I have an appointment soon. I’ll bring it up.
  2. My surgery was 10/15. I never thought I’d have so much discomfort 4 months out. It’s actually worse that earlier and I follow the recommended diet. But I’m down 45 lbs on my scale. Which is new-the scale.
  3. I’m stuck ! The dietician at my last visit wants me to increase protein and stay under 1000 calories. I am miserable with nausea at time and constipated most of the time. But on the flip side I’ve dropped two sizes and acquired new wrinkles.
  4. How are you doing 4 months out?
  5. I did a sleeve at 68. Not looking back! Good luck to you it may a little rough to start but don’t let that part get you down!! The results are worth it. I’m down 45 lbs in 3 months
  6. I actually don’t know anyone who had the sleeve. I went into surgery to have bypass and ended up with a sleeve. Not disappointed only that weight comes off slower. We have a granddaughter getting married in August and want to look good and look happy.
  7. Did you notice weight loss slowed down yet? i seem to be plateauing at 12 weeks
  8. I wish I could get outside and walk. It’s so cold in Chicago and I’m not driving to a gym to walk inside. I’ve been going up and down the stairs about 10-15 times a day as my walking plus what I normally do daily. Anyone else having trouble getting steps in due to weather? I think I need a treadmill!
  9. I’m happy with my sleeve. Weight is coming off slower than I’d like but I’m not really exercising. Need to stay after that. But feel great.
  10. Good luck on everyone’s upcoming surgerys ! You’ll be so happy with the results. ?
  11. I did this quicker recovery thing before surgery. Had to drink Gatorade the day before and the morning of surgery. Felt great right after. Day two was rough but I think it really helped so I didn’t feel like crap afterwards
  12. 68 with 90 day post op vgs
  13. I don’t think the vomiting is a good thing. Call your doctor or nurse contact. My dietician told me to drink this smooth tea at night. I bought it. Disgusting but if you like tea it’s good.
  14. I was scheduled for gastric bypass but my intestine was too short so the surgeon did the sleeve. I m not losing as fast as I would like I had it in October 2018. Down a little more than 33 lbs. but not wrinkling up either. ?
  15. Wow!! Good job!! When was your surgery? Which surgery did you have
  16. True —I’ve had to find my own way in a sense. I have received so many different ways to eat and deal with issues from my doctors staff. I’ve actually received more info from people on these sites. Thanks for the help you don’t realize you’ve given
  17. Gas is the worst. I bought gasX chewable tabs. I saw somewhere they were life savers. They were. I used at home. Not at hospital. Oh yeah take saline nose spray and a good lip balm with you. It is super dry in the hospitals.
  18. Water has been easy for me but I struggle with getting enough protein in on only 1000 cal per day. I’m 90 days out and 40 down. I had vgs and I’m 68. Maybe a little older than most.
  19. Did the sleeve 10/15/18. Lost 45 so far. Seems like I’m losing slowly but my skin is not wrinkling Yet anyway. It’s cold now and don’t want to walk out side. So I’m doing YouTube video specific for 60+ patients Just miss cookie
