Sleeves Any regrets????why and why not????
I was sleeved back in November and have had no regrets. Of course the first 3 weeks post op were not fun at all and I kept asking myself why did I do this to myself but that was because I wasn't able to eat "real food" and I was missing food that I could chew. Once those first 3 weeks were over and I stepped on a scale I felt so much better! Now that I can eat whatever I want I sometimes struggle with temptation at times but that is just because I need to develop a new and more healthy relationship with food. Good luck to you

November 2018 Sleevers!?!?
Hi paddyski! Congrats on all of your success! I don't come on here much (I used to come on a few times a day and now it's maybe once a month) and I don't do FB (I know-I'm weird) or else I would join you all on the FB page. Good luck and I hope to see you on these forums

I just can't get warm!
Yes! Before surgery I would always be hot but I now I'm always cold. But just like Swanton Bomb said, I am hoping this means I won't be a sweaty mess this summer!

Preparing for 2 week liquid diet?
I had to do the 2 week pre-op protein shakes and it was very hard for me but I was like you and had all of my "supplies" (Jello, broth, sugar free popsicles, and of course my protein shakes) beforehand. I lost 17lbs from the 2 week pre-op diet alone but it was difficult and knowing what I know now, I don't think I would have started earlier than I was required.

Stress and poor food choices
I'm so sorry you are going though this. Speaking with a counselor or attending a support group might help but also try not to beat yourself up about it. Focus on the changes you can do starting now that will help you get back on track. I've had some trouble finding some good "on-the-go" snacks but those are really helpful so that I don't get really hungry and then binge on whatever I eat next. Good luck to you and your family.

November 2018 Sleevers!?!?
Hello fellow November sleevers, remember me? I've been MIA since my surgery but have been thinking of you guys, especially my date twins (11/6). Last year was good in terms of my getting the surgery but was rough because I was grieving the loss of my dad and then a close friend right before Christmas. Grief and trying to eat healthy are not a good combo but I have been pushing on and still am losing at a good pace (60 pounds so far) especially since I don't really exercise though I am moving more and love the energy surges I have been having. I haven't been on here since right before my surgery but everyone seems to be doing well

November 2018 Sleevers!?!?
Thanks, paddyski, I need the encouragement This is just kicking my bum big time-I don't have much energy, the shakes (I have to use New Direction) are causing fun gastro issues for me, and I want something other than the shakes, broth, and jello. Everyone says week 2 is better so I am hoping that's true for me too

November 2018 Sleevers!?!?
I went to the class and it was informative about the pre-op diet and what to expect at the hospital and the process of healing after surgery. Yesterday I had to go to the hospital for pre-admission bloodwork and another EKG (mine was done over 6 months ago so I needed to get another one). The whole hospital smell got my stomach in knots and made it even more real. Time seems to be going slow and fast at the same time for me

Hello and welcome! I am with you on looking in the mirror, narrow seats and clothes not fitting. I also hope to soon enjoy posing for pictures again instead of trying to avoid being in them

November 2018 Sleevers!?!?
Hi paddyski! No, I unfortunately can't have veggies. I would give anything to have something with a crunch and ice is not cutting it Oh well now I have something else to look forward to after the surgery-crunch!
