  1. haha, glad you guys liked it. I got it in an email with some other equally as funny dogs dressed up, but had to show you this one!
  2. I swear, if there's anything good in my house, I will wake up in the middle of the night and eat it. It hasn't been so bad lately... and almost not at all since I moved here, because living with a bunch of other people, it was too much trouble to get something on to walk through the house, to the kitchen, to do it. But now that we're living by ourselves... I did it for the first time, again last night. Dan had bought him self a container of Ben & Jerry's "Turtle Soup". He had a little taste of it, saying he was going to make it last until at least the weekend. WELL... of course I go at 4am and open the freezer, and devour it! I don't even know how much I ate, and I don't wanna look. I only knew I did it, cause when I woke up, I had a gross "ate something before I went to bed" taste in my mouth. So now, before he gets home from work, I gotta go get a new one, eat just as much as he had eaten (or better yet, scoop out and throw away!), and hope he doesn't notice!! I think I might have even done it twice last night! There were 2 spoons in the sink, and I'm pretty sure it was about an hour later after the first time! AHHHHHHH!!!! I probably won't do it again. Maybe I'll tell him he better keep an eye on the level, cause I may be tempted. So... that's my shame for the day.
  3. Poor Yoda... it's supposed to start cooling off though, isn't it? Oh, I can't imagine... I'm never going to be able to go any where tropical! (or even just more south!) :pout:
  4. I think it just depends on the size of your stomach or somethin' like that. No.. no one for fills here yet, or else I woulda gone a month ago! I'm waiting to hear back from the lapband surgeon here, hopefully on friday or early next week. If he won't 'take me', I'm not sure what I should do. Maybe I will have to find a good family dr. that will learn to do it. Dr. Cobourn doesn't give out DVD's like TLBC, but apparently he used to, so maybe he'd do it again... I dunno. Does your Dr. take out what she's put in previously, to make sure that it's all still in there? Careful with that. I know a girl from Manitoba who's been having her Dr do her fills, and everything was fine (except she was never restricted for long) until they started checking how much was actually in her band... anyways, something's leaking, possibly punctured tubing and she's losing like 4cc's a week. Have you ever asked TLBC what the liability is, if your Dr. punctured your tubing... would TLBC still replace it for free? It's awesome that it's gone so well with you so far though! Have any of those other Saskatoon gals been in contact with you about having your Dr do their fills too? Yes it does suck... I am losing slowly, but I know I would (or sure I would) be doing EVEN better if I had some restriction! Congrats! How long until you're going to try eating? Let us know how it is! Mandi
  5. I have the 4cc Inamed band... yeah, only 1cc in it. And no, not really helping... I need some more!
  6. WHEW indeed!!! Glad you're feeling better! Little fills from now on, I guess, hey?
  7. You do, don't you!!!??
  8. True, true.. you probably really will not feel too good if you eat as much as you're planning. Why not, at least, don't do what you want to do (eating once everyone's gone), and just do your eating while people are around. Try to think of it that you're *only* doing it because it's a special event, and once the event's over, so is you time for eating! And like Yoda said, there will be plenty of special days, but not just to be careful of... but to look forward to! You WILL be able to eat again!! You won't be able to binge... so try your hardest not to this time, cause at least by the time this BBQ comes around you'll have 11-ish days 'on the wagon', that you don't want to blow TOO bad, right?
  9. Ok, so today is my weigh in day. 242.2, so, if I make my challenge this month, it'll make me 234.2 lbs
  10. Oooh... exciting. That'll be nice. I would probably be living for it too! I'm like that too (or would like to think *used to be*), that I do most of my eating when no one can see it. I think alot of what stops me is fear of wrecking what I've got going and/or physically hurting myself by doing it. (hopefully soon, being actually full, and not wanting to eat more will be what stops me) But I guess that's good. It's keeping me on track... kinda, and if fear is what it takes, that's fine with me. Then there's also the embarassment of the possibility that the might not work, and if it doesn't, having to face the people who were doubters. I also took those horrid pictures.... and cried...
  11. Nah, you should be able to drink water no problem after a fill. That's why she's gotta go get some taken out.
  12. That's too bad, but at least you've got easy access to your fill-er-upper! I bet the .5 cc will help alot. Stick around and drink your bottle of water to make sure it goes down more comfortably
  13. Oh wow... you must be brittle! LOL, just kidding! That'll teach you to drink diet koolaid! It's a sign! Drink Water, and if you spill it, you don't have to scramble to clean it up
  14. Oh yuck! What did you do?! Good luck, I hope you can get to the Dr. soon!
  15. Nevermind... a little looking, and I found it. Your fill saga... yeah, I remember now! How long has it been since your last fill?
  16. Hey Yoda, I asked you this somewhere else, but I can't find where, now.... why not until the 25th? And why at the hospital under flouro? Aren't they usually at TLBC w/o flouro? No problems, I hope!? Mandi
  17. LOL Jude! you don't have to tell everyone! I never change my ticker if I gain!
  18. Kim... you'll be passing me in no time! heh :pout: LOL
  19. Cool, sounds like fun! Whatcha buy? They stuck their fingers in your Noxema? groooss. "Keep it." Exactly! LOL
  20. Oh Jude... man, I dunno what to say. That's 7lbs in 5 days?! Try doubling the calories for 5 days! LOL... sorry. Maybe something bizarre like that is what would do it. You should call or email Marie and tell her this, if you haven't already. She'll probably say to keep it up and be patient... uggg.
  21. I thought about that too... maybe I'll have to do it when I don't feel like going for the walk! LOL But I don't know... I think I'm too good to make him last 30 minutes! BOOYAH! haha
  22. But you just can't eat real food early, can you, Cloe?
  23. Oohhh... the heat. I'm sure it's not nearly as hot here as in ON, but WAY more hot than in SK! I hope this is my last 'more fat than I wanna be' summer, cause I can't take it anymore! My BF suggested we go to this hiking area nearby, and I walk it while he runs. I said "Uhh... I dunno, not if it's this damn hot" but... maybe I will do it. It'll be in the evenings, so it shouldn't be AS bad. Guess I HAVE to get my stupid exercise in. GRRR!
