Just wondering for all the people that have had their procedure how long did the steri strips stay on? One nurse told me to just let water run down then and then they will fall off, but another nurse told me to take a shower with my back to the water. I’m confused now

I am starting on Day 2 of my full liquid diet. I thought Day 1 was going to be horrible, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm doing good so far. Surgery is scheduled on 8/30/18. Any advice from anyone that has already had their sleeve recently? I welcome it all. I can't wait to join the losers bench.

Thank you so much because I am excited as well as scared, but I know the outcome will be wonderful.. I took off work from August 30th to September 19th. I hope that will be enough time for me to recuperate.

I understand where you are coming from because I wouldn't swallow my gum either especially knowing that it could cause complications. I definitely don't want to cause any complications to a procedure that I have worked so hard for. @nikkiF22 How has your post op been so far besides the food thing?

I understand what you are saying, I guess there are people who swallow gum. I was taught never to and I haven’t to this day... lol

I believe gum is on my no list as well. I am just wondering what is wrong with sugar free gum. Since you can't chew on food why not use it as a supplement. I start my liquid diet on Thursday.

I haven’t started the full liquid diet yet. My start day is 8/23. I have started limiting my intake to prepare for it

I see my August 30 people are starting their liquid diet really soon. I’m not supposed to start until August 23 ??♀️. Please let me know how it goes. Just wondering if anyone in this group is diabetic?
