I found a cubic zirconia ring to wear while in weight loss mode. I waited until I got to my goal weight to resize my set.

Love it! Congrats op post op and your weight loss.
Funny the things we notice with weight loss. My shoe size went down. I had to get my wedding rings resized.

Congrats on all your weight loss!
You are doing fantastic. Concentrate on all you have accomplished. Ignore the charts that say you should weigh X amount by this date. Its the fact you are losing weight not the speed.

Remind yourself you are at 164. You are at a healthy weight. If you choose to goto 145 you are still at a healthy BMI. Find a weight that you feel comfortable to maintain.
Most people don't know what a healthy BMI looks like. People may give you comments that are less than helpful Some comments you may hear, (even at a healthy BMI) "Stop losing weight" "Your too thin" "do you have cancer?"
Weight loss comments and compliments will stop after your weight settles. This is the point body image may be easier to deal with. It's a great feeling when people just accept this is you. Life becomes more normal.

Fantastic work getting to goal. Celebrate big!
Your not alone. It takes time for your mind to catch up because your weight loss is so rapid. Some of us have a distorted body image. It may take some work to see your reflection/size correctly.
After I got to goal, a vet gave me some things to try.
Place a current photo of yourself your bathroom mirror. Look at it as you are getting ready for the day. This may sound ridiculous, Go out in a public place with a friend. Have them give you examples of people that share your weight and body type. It's not that you are judging and pointing at people (please don't do that) Its to wrap your mind around your new size. For some, it may become body dysmorphia. Counseling/therapy is a great option. Give it time. Your mind should catch up. Your reflection will become normal.

I was told to expect to lose 60% of my weight with the sleeve. I gave myself the first golden year to get the most out of my WLS. After being on this site, I was realistic about slow, normal, and fast weight loss rates. I got to goal in six months. Totally unexpected. I would have been fine to reach it in a year or more.
The only thing that matters is getting your health back.

To be strict or to be lax in this process is a personal choice. We are all adults and make are own food choices. The only one that has to be happy with your weight loss is you.
Maintaining : I indulge once in a while. If it causes weight gain, I go back to bariatric food plan to get the weight off. Weight loss mode: I was consistent not perfect. I had slips and got right back on plan.
We do have a cheats thread that shows you Yes, people eat foods that are off plan. I'm a bit conflicted about the thread.

Things to think about in going off plan or indulging once in a while:
Adding carbohydrates and sugar makes you crave them more. It takes time to detox and get back on plan your first few months is your best weight loss. You also have your golden year. Weight loss is harder after your first year( still can be done) Monitor if indulging is slowing your weight loss down. Will it make getting to your goal take more time? WIll indulging become habit? Every weekend? Every month? How solid are you in behavior change? Going off plan can be a slippery slope for some. With the sleeve, you will get to a point that you noticeably can consume more food as your restriction becomes less. What has made people successful 2 years + out
