  16. 8 months out. Lost 87 lbs. HW: 210 CW: 123
  17. Height: 5’2 HW: 210 CW: 123 GW: 115 So lately my daily calories have increased dramatically. I’m able to consume around 1250 calories per day, and I most definitely do. ??‍♀️ I’m 8 months out, I workout for at least 15-30 minutes a day (I know, that’s not much but ya know..). Haven’t lost weight in about a month and a half, and I’m starting to go kinda nuts. Is it the daily calories that’s sabotaging my weight-loss? I wouldn’t have thought 1250 is to much... perhaps it’s a standard stall...? Maybe it’s the excessive sodium...? (Lots of salted sunflower seeds) thoughts?

  20. Yea you guys make great points. I think I’ve been eating too fast and clearly too much. I do this thing where I prepare a plate with slightly too much food, and then I take as many breaks as necessary until I’ve consumed all its contents. What I should be doing is making a small plate or walking away when I’m full (which I’d feel if I slowed down ...) Time to start tuning into my body’s signals.

  22. Lately I’ve been experiencing this strange sensation where I eat A LOT but do not feel full, until suddenly I’m practically bursting at the seems I’m so full. Why is this???
  23. Hey, fellas. Figured I’d share my stats and experience, as it may help some of you. Surgery was on 8/15/2018 SW: 210 CW: 125 That’s 85 lbs down!! I do this by living a low carb, clean eating lifestyle, and on most days I attempt to keep my calories below 1000. Originally the calorie counting was barely a challenge, lately however, my sleeve has been able to accommodate lots more and...well...whoops. I use the app Baritastic (which I recommend!!). It was a game changer for me. It keeps me accountable for everything I eat, drink, exersize... oh exercise, I don’t do it. ? I try to do some muscle building about twice a week, as my muscle mass has depleted ssiigniificantllyy since surgery, but other than that, I barely work out. I’d like to start though. Maybe some cardio from this week onward. I’m still pretty weak, weirdly. I was told a full recovery can take a year. Fingers crossed. HMU with questions. I’m here for you, beautifuls.
  24. Ya gotta count calories. Healthy food can still be high calorie, this preventing weightloss. Nuts and avocado are great examples of such foods. Download the app “Baritastic”. It’s been a game changer for me :) Goodluck, beautiful.
  25. Take your calories down to 1500, and eat clean. Less processed foods like Atkins bars etc. the weight-loss magic will ABSOLUTELY follow. You’ll see ;)
  26. yea totally get that. people in my world couldnt even understand why id volentarily put my body through this trauma with such a relatively low weight... im with you
  27. Bariatric Master nailed it. one more thing though, just remember to go easy on yourself over the next few days. youre going to experience all sorts of strange bodily sensations and youll simply need to remenber "im post surgery. this is normal and expected," for the most part. of course when in doubt reach out to your surgeons office, but you get my drift. goodluck
  28. ive been where you are. keep fighting and youll get there. im now 2 weeks post-op. firstly, get another Dr. secondly, if youre BMI (with your proper height) is 39, either gain the 5 lbs necessary (yes i said it lol) or wear layered cloths, perhaps even a weight...... (uh huh). also, like others mentioed, most insurnaces will cover you if youre BMI is above 35 with a weight-related consition such as diabetes, sleep apnea, hypertension.... GOODLUCK!
  29. with the help of supositories, i had my first BM at 5 days post op. it was pebble-like (for lack of a better word lol). my second BM came 7 days after the first and it was pure agony. i practically gave birth to a steal turd for 60 minutes. lol my doctor toldme to try Milk of Magnesia which worked BEAUTIFULLY. as a long term solution youd obviously have to drink more and get more fiber. also, remeber, a big part of why BMs are challenging soon after surgery is because your actual bowel is recovering from surgery as well so itll also get better naturally the farther you get from surgery. goodluck
  30. so much has changed since i made my account, yet i can not figure out how to update my information such as stats... any help?
