  1. I had lots of "port" pain too. I saw my doc and she gave me some neurontin for the pain, which helped me to be mobile again. I still have some pain when I exert myself too much, even 6 weeks post op, but nothing I have to take medicine for. Good Luck!
  2. Congratulations! I am glad everything is going well for you!
  3. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I will try your tips!!
  4. I was banded 5 days ago. 3 days ago, my bowels woke up and I started passing gas... that is when the horrible left shoulder pain started. I've been taking gas-x and walking alot. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks!!!
  5. Hi. I was banded on Monday (it is Thurs today). I am on full liquids, so I am enjoying things like sugar- free pudding and ispure protein drink. I am getting a little tired of the isopure, though. I may just start drinking plain water, and get my protein from homemade shakes or something. I stopped taking my prescription pain meds bc it made me very dizzy and slightly nauseated. I am just taking Tylenol now. The gas pains in my left shoulder and neck have kicked in. Wow! What pain! I am taking gas-x and am going to go on a walk outside later this afternoon- so hopefully it will help. Good luck to everyone!
  6. Hi Brubear! How are you doing with your preparations for surgery? 13 days and counting! I did my pre-op teaching and testing last week. I need to head to the store to get the necessary items for post-op! Good luck to you!!!!
  7. Sorry to hear that you have to change surgeons. I hope you get another date very soon. Good Luck!
  8. Thanks Cathy Chatts- I will have to check them out! I hope things are going smoothly for you. Take care!!!
  9. Cathy Chatts- what do you mean by liqiud protein in your list of things for the first 3 days? Since it is a full liquid diet, do you mean Isopure? Are there others out there?
  10. Thanks, Debbie. It IS time to start getting all that stuff! Good Luck this June, everyone!!!!
  11. Hi RAINWI. June 23!!!! It's crunch time! Have you had your pre-op tesing yet?
  12. Hey Brubear. I went on the site and set it all up, but then I don't know how to get it onto this website...
  13. How did you get your ticker and avatar?
  14. Hi Brubear! 4 weeks and counting (I am June 23 too)! Good Luck!!!
  15. That is so funny bc I am going to have to be careful with my hubby too. Let's just say we have "grown" together over the last 10 years:biggrin2:He is doing awesome with exercising everyday and watching his portions, but every now and then, he'll want to go to Chung Dao (Chinese version of Golden Corral). So I have to work on saying NO. But hey, maybe, if your pre op diet allows, you should have one last "hurrah" at GC!
