Hello, as few know, I am only 19 and getting this surgery done. Well I just found out about my day...AND IT IS NEXT WEEK!!!!!! AHHHH. My surgery day is July 9th at 11am. Talk about nerves!!!! Any advice on just how to start preparing for this will help me greatly since I am so young and getting this done! Josh:scared2:

As some know, I am only 19 and I am undergoing the lap-band. I thought that due to my age, my insurance, Medica would not cover the surgery, but they pulled through for me and decided to cover it! I am in my final steps and am only weeks from surgery!!! Josh:thumbup:

Hello! My name is Josh. I am 19 years young and going on 20. Back in December I made the decision to start my journey towards a weight loss surgery. In January i attended a meeting and decided on the lap band. After months of structered dieting and exercise I am coming up on my final appointment! My surgery is tentatively in May. I have been overweight my entire life, and I have done everything in the world i can think of to lose weight and I finally found the answer :rolleyes2:!! I am getting excited but nervous at the same time for this. I am ready for the change, but wonder how everyone around me will accept it. Well, I joined this site to help find answers from peers to the surgery..so I hope I get to know some of you! Josh
